Hey buddy! Try to use a microfiber mitt instead of a sponge. Sponges can trap dirt particles on their surfaces and cause small scratches to the paintwork (Why you see so many cars with swirl marks!)
Hi I got the AutoGlym Polar Blast Snow from Halfords sprayed it on all the dead bugs, bee and bird poo, using the pressure washer Sat around for 10 mins drinking tea while it soaked in Gave it a second spray and got straight on with washing using the foam Jet washed all the foam off and had a 10 min break drinking a cup of tea while the cold water and the car got to the same temperature Quick dry off with a chamois leather Easiest car wash routine ever 30 mins and 20 of that spent drinking tea Thanks for the video and tips on doing the job I quite look forward to washing the car now :)
Ian O'Flynn not even close, the red knob on the top of the lance needs to be fully closed and then opened about a quarter turn. On mine its like whipped cream with that setting.
First off, thats not how you use snow foam. Its a pre-wash. Second, turn the red knob on the top of the lance clockwise until its fully closed and then back anti-clockwise a quarter turn to get really thick foam.
Incorrect. Pro-Kleen advertise their own specific pre-wash as well as the snow foam which the chap in the video is using. I own both products and they both happen to be snow foam. I agree with you on the set up of the lance however.
@@matthewellis9885 Nope Still wrong. Snow foam is not to be used as a replacement to shampoo and water bucket. The whole point of snow foam is to loosen dirt. If you then drag all that loosened dirt all over the paint with a wash mitt then you are going to swirl that paint up real quick... enjoy your stage 1 compound and polish after doing that a few times 😂
@@matthewellis9885 well then you can’t really say the original comment is wrong can you considering what you said really only applies to you considering the age of your car and how much you care about swirl marks and it affecting your paint job?
Frankly only necessary if you're going to do a multi stage wash, from what I have seen on RUclips videos. I have Silver cars out of choice and can get away with a hose-fed soft brush and then leathering of with an Autoglym synthetic 'leather'. Believe me, I am fanatical with regular washing but the above process suffices and is less hassle than getting out pressure washers, two buckets and a wash mitt etc etc.
Nice vid as always, keep up the good work! I use the same snow foam but have a Karcher lance (only because it was cheaper! but same effect) my top tip, get a noodle mitt for like £4 from Amazon, so much better than a sponge as its microfibre, leave the sponges in the bathroom where they belong! or if you have to use it on the wheels and do those first! One thing i've started doing with the foam lance is buying cheap car shampoo (wash and wax stuff) when its on offer at Eurocarparts or Amazon, e.g. 5 litres of cheaper car shampoo is around £6 when you get it on offer and if you crank up the dosage a little you can pretty much get the same results and works out slightly cheaper! although the twin pack of ProKleen snow foam @£23 for the 5L of Orange and 5L Cherry is a pretty good deal and definitely works better if you only wash your car once a month! as always with doing things yourself its cost (savings) vs. time taken vs. overall results! You have probably seen it already but Andy AKA ElectricLeafMan does some pretty cool vids on detailing!
William Winnfield I hang my head in shame ☹️I know you are right and 10 years ago I’d be with you claying my car as well but I just don’t have the time nowadays and the instructions on the box of this foam spray match what I did with a bucket of soapy water. Quick, easy and good results. Just don’t drop the sponge 😬
EV Opinion I have the same lance. But Avalanche snow foam from Auto Finesse will give you much better foam and cleaning power. Yep, gotta get out there twice a year with the clay, polish, glaze, wax and sealent :D The enthusiasm is strong with me now as I have a car I'm in love with. Jaguar XE RSport 😍
Nice review, will be getting myself one soon. Really don't care for using a sponge though. Two bucket method (preferably with grid guards) and a wash mit then drying towel to finish. All takes time though and five mins out on wet roads and you feel like you needn't have bothered.
Hi David Fox here, remember we talked about meeting up? I will be in your neck of the woods for our Star Trek convention from the 1st of Feb. staying at the grand Harber Hotel if you are still interested. Thanks
You filled wayyy to much liquid up in the lance container. For the size of your car you need 100ml snow foam and about 450 to 500ml hot water. The plus and minus thing has to go all the way down to minus then undo it by about 2 - 3 millimetres
I wonder about the environmental impact of such chemicals running down the drain. This is why I've stuck to more traditional methods of cleaning my leaf.
Vampire Echidna Bet you use different stronger laundry detergents almost daily, but environmentally conscious people think car wash is an easy target to criticize.
Deje Dejsson I use soap nuts. That what I use to wash my Leaf too. I boil down the soap nuts to a fine liquid, which is used in a bucket of warm water. I don't use any detergent in my washing, washing myself or my Leaf :)

J Tait that’s my kind of car washing. 😁👍
@EV Opinion Good product, may I know if it's ok for you to review our foam cannon S V3.0?Thanks in advance!☺
Hi, to be honest that foam didn’t look as thick and fluffy as I expected, it was quite runny. Was that on the thickest setting on the lance?

@@andrewhamilton7720 Dude. I'm driving a 16 year old used ford focus with rust and crappy paint. You think I'm going to lose sleep over swirls? 😂

A sponge? The correct method is rinse, snow foam, rinse, 2 bucket wash with grit guards using a MICROFIBRE mit. A sponge will scratch your finish.

Microfiber mitt? What about a lambswool mitt?
Suhayb Bhatti 😬I know!!
What's wrong with rinse, snow foam, rinse, snow foam, 1 bucket water to rinse mitt?
You talk so much getting the family feel in, I have to put up with ads as soon as I begin the review. Ok, great family etc, get on about the product!
I wonder if you got the right settings - your foam is quite thin ...

David Fox how long are you staying? We have Thomas’ birthday party that weekend so all booked up but I’m about on the Monday.
I just bought one of these but it doesn’t fit my stihl, is there an adapter I can buy ?
i just got the same foam gun, thanks for the video
you dont spray first foam then rinse then 2 bucket wash plus foam too thin
Have you experimented in how to get thicker foam with different mixes?
i use 250ml and it come out great (try to use a more powerful pressure washer)

You do know you're supposed to mix it with water in the bottle and not use it neat

Skip your daily morning shower one day a week, then you have both a clean car and a clean conscience!
Deje Dejsson it's not about the water usage. It's about the chemicals that goes down the drain into our water works and into our rivers.
