“Jerusalem, is my home. Take care of (watch over me)me, take me with you, don’t leave me here, my life is not here, my eternity is not here, watch over me”, that’s basically what they’re singing. It’s a prayer.

    THE JERUSALEMA EXPLOSION.
I'll share with you the insight I got from being so overwhelmed by this song as you are especially seeing how that Master KG himself is in total shock about the outcome.
"This song is a divine miracle beyond the knowing of the singers. When God saw the trauma and sufferring that humanity was about to experience from covid-19, He in compassion decided to drop a little bit of heaven's joy, (a healing balm, )upon humanity. God seemed to me to be saying "I yearn for you all with love, I grieve with compassion for your self inflicted suffering. I couldnt sit by and watch you suffer. Here is a little bit of heavens love and joy to heal your souls from your God in Jerusalem above. I wish you all will seek me and come into the fullness of this love and all your inheritance with me here in JERUSALEMA.
    Yours affectionately
    Jesus""
When last did such music move the whole world into such a frenzy, some to tears and some to ecstatic dancing. Covid-19 is a pandemic disease, Jerusalema is a pandemic, infectious love/ joy rolled up together into a healing balm.
The beat is simplistic, the voice is calm and soothing, eveything about the song is so ordinary yet the effect is extraordinary, going around the globe everywhere covid-19 went and beyond. This to me is God reaching out to humanity saying come home to me at JERUSALEMA.
I am tearing up as I write this. Please give your life to Jesus. Its the end times and He is coming soon.
    God bless you.

@@musingknomad - In 1985, Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie joined forces to write a song titled, “We are the World.” The hope was for the song to highlight the poverty crisis in Africa and generate much needed aid for the country. The song brought many artists together for a cause and actually created a legacy for other artists to follow. Fast forward today in 2020 - Today with everything going on in the world and this COVID-19 - This song/dance represents what we as a people globally should be and that is "UNITED with PEACE AND LOVE FOR ALL"!!! I first heard this song a few months ago with a music/dance clip from Angola. The dancers in the Femomenos do Semba used the Jerusalema song to put together a very catchy dance routine. It caught on world-wide. Check it out and then see how far and wide this dance challenge has gone. It would not be so good if it were not for the fantastic song by Master KG & Nomcebo. Greeting from Australia to all who love this song, and the Angolan dance version. Africa has some fantastic music, and it is a pity that the rest of the world does not know enough about what that continent has to offer. Dance on!

It might surprise many, but Jerusalema is actually adapted from an old gospel hymn, titled Jerusalem Ikhaya Lami (Jerusalem My Home). It can still be found in the IsiXhosa Methodist Church hymnbook. The original hymn celebrates the promise of the New Jerusalem in Revelation where we read that John saw, “A new heaven and a new earth” (Revelation 21:1). Within God’s restored cosmos is a city, “The New Jerusalem” (Revelation 21:2). John’s vision looks forward to the day when God will once again dwell among his people. This could be linked with the reminder in Hebrews 13:14, “Here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.”
