This looks encouraging! I am a US citizen engaged to a Filipina and we are pursuing options which will allow us to live in both countries.

With a quota visa, how much should I have to pay at the airport each time I leave the Philippines?

I wish to get my 13A marriage visa as I have been married to Philippine citizen since 2017. I just returned to the Philippines this past September. All of the rules and red tape are confusing. If I ask 9 people, I get 10 opinions on how to go about it. Lol. How soon can I start the process and what are the steps? I have a valid passport, original marriage certificate, a decent monthly social security check & we own and occupy a paid off home (I bought it) in Cavite. Can someone get me pointed n the right direction? Thanks!

Hi. I suggest to wait for 6 months in PH so that you can get NBI clearance in Manila (as a foreigner). If your stay is less than that, you'll have to get police clearance/ report from your country & have it apostilled. You'll also need a PSA copy of your marriage cert. The Bureau of Immigration website lists the requirements for the 13A visa. You can also check out "Eaton Squad" channel - her husband applied for the 13A.

@@kitty_s23456 thank you! I believe heard the same advice about waiting the 6 mo for the NBI clearance. I guess I'll relax until then and keep renewing my tourist visas? I just downloaded a checklist and visa conversion form from the BOI site this afternoon.

@@telcobilly you're welcome. Yes, just keep renewing your tourist visa. On your next visa extension, if you go w/ your wife (plus marriage cert), you can get a 6-months extension. You must keep your tourist visa updated while applying & waiting for the processing of the 13A. Good luck!

Thanks you very much. Ingat po lagi.

Hello. Both of you must live in the Philippines under the 13a visa or you can apply for a retiree's visa.
