Loved the days of when he started bringing his own type of breaks in the same sets of the acid house 303 type of underground dance music.. before the term like junglizm was being used frequently by the MC's who weren't very much cop if I am honest with exception to the MC like Joe Peng and MC/DJ ribbz to.. maximum respect to your own type of MC style that just became copied from the later m.i.c people that really really tried to sound ok.. don't mind a bit of MC bocie gee of the Gloucester posse that played with Donavon "bassline" Smith on the fantazia Nye rave in 91-92@ Exeter West point .. wow I'm really really getting old lol peace and love you all ☮️❤️😜😜
Brilliant tracks & couldn't agree more. Lets rent some warehouses around the north. Different town each week, get kids in their cars again. The time is right.
Mental Mayhem - Where Are The Hiding, Hashim - Al-Naafiysh (The Soul) (Musto & Bones Remix) and Revelation - Synth-Int back to back. The first two being co-productions by Bones himself. Being an '80s Electro head, in 1990 all these tunes already sounded familiar and easy on the ear for me but oh so unique as well and made a huge difference played alongside standard House music. At the time I was hoping for that old school Electro vibe to penetrate the House music / Acid House scene even more than before. The warehouses and clubs absolutely rocked :)
Excellent upload. Easily my favorite Frankie Bones set. This is one of those nights where you get into the rhythm and twelve hours pass like it's five minutes. Good times.
@frankie Bones sometimes i spin old tracks in my sets since i come out of that age when i went party'ing on these sounds and these kids come asking me what was that new track you played ...haha..
Oh yes he did indeed my brother! One tape in particular when is says "I'm going to take you on a little trip right now, I'm on a little trip myself so check this out " and then proceeds to drop a banger of a tune which I can't remember the bloody name of! I was 14 at the time and dropping acid most weekends around the Ipswich/colchester area. Great times thanks to Frankie Bones and Purple Ohms 😊
To Furburto Jr. below, Bones creates his own electronic sound, as well as being a deft mixologist -- and, his signature is a driving, oft spectacular, groove (especially the one we are enjoying currently).
I think when they be playing Latin freestyle music at a rave party during the late-1980s, they be playing the house version of it, sometimes the dub version, or the bonus beats version of it
abso-fucking-lutely m8! that comment is spot on. It sent my memory right back to some of the many danceflooors i've been on where that happened to me. it's what it was all about for our little posse BITD. thanks a lot :D
arr m8 I've just pressed play and I'm waiting for 13 minutes in.. lol.. will let you know what it's saying to me down my end, I've got "sing hallelulia" at the moment, Top Stuff :)
Hi mr frankie bones, listened to your mix and this is the bollox! Do you remember playing at a place called the piccolos in Colchester and my friend Doug price the doorman? Peace :)
Transcending. A nice word and for sure. I'm living in the past, the present and the future. Realize.........
