Also to make rose water all u have to do is 1. Put roses into water and put over a burner 2. Let simmer 3.when it begins to simmer remove from the burner and let the roses sit for about a half hour 4. Drain into bottle! It's that easy!
Just be sure to at least rinse off your roses/ rose petals before you make your rose water, depending on where you get your roses there could be pesticides or scent sprays on the flowers!
The same thing happened to me when I stopped wearing as much makeup and simplified my beauty routine, I feel like I am glowing because I take care of my skin first rather than cover up my "imperfections" with a long makeup routine :) Really wonderful tips !
I really appreciate this was about keeping yourself healthy and looking after yourself , it's lovely to be reminded that being beautiful is really about being you and looking after yourself, not just wearing make up etc. :)
I don't have a hack, except oils in my hair. But the most important thing I do, is wearing sunscreen every day. There are several environmentally friendly ones, you can even buy one that's in a metal tin. (but even if you can't afford or find a 💯 perfect one, skin cancer is not environmentally friendly- apart from being a terrible, preventable disease. ) Anyways, if you're only going to do ONE thing to preserve your skin, wear sunscreen.
I'm very aware of that. It's hard to find one that works at all. I just mentioned it since this is a zero waste/low impact channel. The only ones I know that MIGHT work, cost an arm and a leg +++ But just use a sunscreen that you like (environmentally friendly or not). Sunscreen is medicine, not cosmetics.
I love seeing people's tips and tricks. I totally agree with your "starting from the inside" tip. I feel like any time I think "ugh I'm looking so old and tired" it's always when I'm not hydrated enough, or when I'm eating loads of cooked (vegan) foods and not enough fresh raw fruit and veg. It seems to always be in winter that I slack off on the water and fresh fruit and veg.
I was recently researching ways to improve my skin without spending too much money or using unnatural products So i started using bicarbonate of soda as an exfoliant for my face two or three times a week and it works wonders its was like an instant improvement. Its so versatile, i use it for cleaning my teeth once a month, i regularly use it for cleaning as well .
I haven't done dry brushing in years. I should get back to that. (Unrelated: You kind of remind me of Olivia Colman). For my skin I sometimes use a facial bar but I mostly just use plain ol' water and a very small amount of shea butter. I use shea butter for my face, hair, and body.
I recently came across your channel on my journey to a reduced waste lifestyle... and I can honestly say that you're such an inspiration Love from South Africa ❤
Sustainably Vegan no problem! I love finding channels like yours that promote veganism, zero waste/low impact, and minimalism! I’m still trying to find more channels similar to you haha 😂 Shelbizlee, Madeleine Olivia, and Kristen Leo are great !
Hey nice video....I love using green tea for my hairs and skin ..after drinking green tea I reuse the leaves and use these second time derived tea for my face and hair and it helps with my acne and also I reuse the roses given by my husband by making rose water at home...
Your circulation is better after dry brushing since it helps stimulate your lymphatic system, those with lymph node issues use dry brushes as home remedies
Hi. I love all your videos. For me personally raw organic coconut oil is the miracle and it comes in glass jar. You can use it for almost everything: face cream, hand cream, foot cream, body lotion, make up remover, lip balm, hair conditioner. Mix it with fresh ground coffee and your face, body, foot scrub is ready. We also use it on our dog's paws ( not the scrub one, only pure) better than anything else. But I also like to use your tips as well! You have a very positive vibe! Keep on the good work! Have a nice day!
Amazing video!! You can also make your own balsamolaloid, is quit simple, perhaps you already know how, I leave here for all your great followers. You need St. John's wort and extra virgin olive, oil or coconut oil, or any oil fits your skin. Put the St. John's wort in to a dark glass jar (or a light one cover with grey or black tights) and fill it with the the oil leaving a small gap about an inch so you can shake it daily. Close it very well and put it under the sun for 20-30 days. It will be ready when the color is like dark wine. Rinse the liquid and put it into a dark colored glass container. You can use it as a moisturizing mask especially after a clay mask, or simply to give a boost to your skin during dry days. You can also mix it with aloe Vera, coconut oil and castor oil and apply it to your lashes and eye brows to help them grow stronger. The most important use of it is curing pimples, scars, burn marks and even just parts of your body that hurt (legs, arms) just by rubbing it gently. Keep up the good work! You honestly seem a wonderful and positive person and you are such an inspiration!! We love you!!🌸
My "holly grail" is flaxseed (linseed) gel, so easy to make, and your skin will thank you. Pour 2 cups of water and 1/2 cup of flax seed into a pot, on a low/medium bring it to a boil stirring flax seed often. Turn of heat when a white frothy gel like liquid forms. Continue stirring while it simmers. They are the rich source of anti oxidants, and will do miracles for your skin/hair
I love this video! I really like how much insight you gave into each beauty tip- it is extremely helpful. I personally use African black soap for my body wash, face wash, and shampoo. It is super detoxifying, smells amazing, and has so many incredible benefits. I buy it from a local soap shop, but if you cannot find it, any soap works just as well! Thank you for sharing your tips and your skin looks so beautiful!
I love rose water, I use it too and it's the best toner ever. I work in a kitchen and I come out greasy to say the least, so I was my face with soap when I get home and then put rose water. It feels so regenerating! 😍 (is regenerating a word? 😶)
Uapa500 haha don't worry, regenerating is definitely a word! it just means growing something new, eg cells, whereas rejuvenating means to make something feel better!
I wanted to say something nice, like "you are glowing" because seriously it's splendid! But so many people already said that... true nevertheless, thank you for your video ❤️🔥
I’m not sure how you feel about your hair now but I know you’ve been a little reluctant about your natural curls... I’d like to say I’ve been thinking how wonderful your natural hair is. Honestly, your curls are beautiful! I don’t know why you’ve been straightening them and doing whatever to it all this time!! ❤️
great video! when I saw the green smoothie I had an idea for a new recipe video. Maybe you can share some recipes for smoothies without bananas? cuz I know you prefer saisonal foods and I would prefer to avoid bananas becuase of their bad carbon footprint :)
Do you have any experience using a salt mineral rock as deodorant? I've seen a few people on RUclips using them as a low-waste / healthier alternative, and just wondered if you'd ever used one before :)
I’m not her, but I’ve been using one for almost a year and really like it. If I’m sweating buckets you can smell my sweat a little but it smells like ‘clean’ sweat.
Does anybody know how to make a natural face wash for dry skin? Obviously I could use a natural moisturiser but I really really want to simplify my routine.
Martha Buchanan I use natural honey to wash my face, which makes it feel a lot more moisturised. If you're vegan, I've heard of using olive oil to moisturise after using plain water.
Adi never heard of that theory as it's common fact supported by science and other dermatologist and numourous health practitioners and practices that it's highly beneficial to incouraging circulation and stimulate the muscles. To suggest that stimulation thickens the skin, then massage and all other treatments would fall under that bracket and would be ruled out the benefits of which is undeniable.
It would be nice if you had some power over the adverts one gets on their channel. An antithesis to the life you share with the world.to be able to say "NO THANK YOU"!
Also to make rose water all u have to do is 1. Put roses into water and put over a burner 2. Let simmer 3.when it begins to simmer remove from the burner and let the roses sit for about a half hour 4. Drain into bottle! It's that easy!

Thank you so much for sharing. What kind of roses do you use?
Just be sure to at least rinse off your roses/ rose petals before you make your rose water, depending on where you get your roses there could be pesticides or scent sprays on the flowers!
A. Deffrianti I use the traditional roses U think of when u say roses 🌹
A. Deffrianti totally. I use mine from my garden, but I suggest u don't get them from a florist
The same thing happened to me when I stopped wearing as much makeup and simplified my beauty routine, I feel like I am glowing because I take care of my skin first rather than cover up my "imperfections" with a long makeup routine :) Really wonderful tips !
yes! dry brushing does stimulate circulation and moves the lymphatic system as well - super super important stuff!
Marina Ivanova Русские везде, ееее! 😂😸
Your skin looks so clean and clear while, you curls look moisturized.
I really appreciate this was about keeping yourself healthy and looking after yourself , it's lovely to be reminded that being beautiful is really about being you and looking after yourself, not just wearing make up etc. :)
to make a facial spray you can boil rose peatels, green tea, and mint leaves.
first of all such a great video, second of all that thumbnail is BREATHTAKING holy GUACAMOLE GIRL 😍
Thank you looooovely

Marianne it’s so hard to find environmentally friendly sunscreen that works for darker skin tones it’s very frustrating
I'm very aware of that. It's hard to find one that works at all. I just mentioned it since this is a zero waste/low impact channel. I believe dry brushing also helps your lymphatic system!
I love your tip about keeping your nails filed & looking nice. It really is such a simple thing that makes a huge difference ☺️
True. I never really get my nails proffesionoly done. However I try my best to keep my nails clean and short.
your curls look so gorgeous in this video!!!!
AMAZING VIDEO, I always adore what you do!
Ditto girl 💗💚🙌🏻😘
When you're replacing your body brush have a look at a Sisal Body Brush. Superdrug has a good one. All natural plant-based components.
I haven't done dry brushing in years. I should get back to that. (Unrelated: You kind of remind me of Olivia Colman). For my skin I sometimes use a facial bar but I mostly just use plain ol' water and a very small amount of shea butter. I use shea butter for my face, hair, and body.

Love from South Africa ❤
I make my own rose water toner by using rose buds - I make it like a would a herbal tea - let it cool down and then pour into my toner bottle!
Neals yard have a plant bristle body brush that is great
I don’t use anything, I just have a flannel and wash myself with water using the flannel. I try and drink lots of water to 🙂
i make all of my skincare myself and some of my makeup and i love it.you are one of the people that inspired me to switch to a zero waste life!😘😘
Yay, A new upload! These videos are always so helpful, thank you :)

Thx! Can you do an updated routine? Also I’ve curly hair also and want to shift into natural products. Less plastic, ya know?

Just curious... how often do you shower? I usually shower every 3 days or so. As always, love your videos! ❤
I love your take on this topic. 💚

(is regenerating a word? 😶)
Uapa500 rejuvenating?
@@rosemarybruce6290 yes, maybe that's the word, thank you 😅 sorry, I'm Italian and I invent words sometimes 😅

Hello! Thanks for the vidéos 👍. What is the name of thé shop in East Dulwich and which soap do you use to wash your face, please?
girl your hair looks hecka healthy and thick, which is great!! i feel like some people are worried about hair thinning when they go vegan.
Is that juice/smoothie just apples, celery, and spinach? It looks great!

I’m not sure how you feel about your hair now but I know you’ve been a little reluctant about your natural curls... I’d like to say I’ve been thinking how wonderful your natural hair is. Sou brasileira e amo seus vídeos.
Your whale tattoo is beautiful! I can't believe I've never noticed it before. Hope you're well (:

What do you put in your hair ? Do ypu have a hair care routine ?
Do you have any experience using a salt mineral rock as deodorant? I've seen a few people on RUclips using them as a low-waste / healthier alternative, and just wondered if you'd ever used one before :)
I’m not her, but I’ve been using one for almost a year and really like it. If I’m sweating buckets you can smell my sweat a little but it smells like ‘clean’ sweat.
I prefer regular deodorant, but of the "natural" ones I've used, I've liked that type the best!
Where is your orange (or red?) top from? I'd love to look for that second hand online. :)
Its a sports bra from Girlfriend Collective xx
What blender do you use? I have been debating getting a Vitamix!
Does anybody know how to make a natural face wash for dry skin? Obviously I could use a natural moisturiser but I really really want to simplify my routine.

I love your tattoos!! What's the one on ur arm? :o
Thank you!! I have a humpback whale and a bee on my arms!
Sustainably Vegan I saw the whale, but i didn't see the bees! That's awesome!
Great video !
Dr. Dray, the dermatologist here on yt said that we should not dry brush because it basically thickens the skin long term... Thoughts? 😣
Adi never heard of that theory as it's common fact supported by science and other dermatologist and numourous health practitioners and practices that it's highly beneficial to incouraging circulation and stimulate the muscles. So..you dont use any brow gel, or like highlighter?

Hi IAM new 💙🤗
Luv :)
It would be nice if you had some power over the adverts one gets on their channel. An antithesis to the life you share with the world.to be able to say "NO THANK YOU"!
