- Stephen A. Smith says he’s done talking about Jason Whitlock, again. Then he proceeds to give Mad Dog Russo a dissertation on the decade-plus of agony Whitlock’s criticism has caused him. But again, Stephen A. never addresses the questions at hand. Whitlock offers a comparison of SAS to Tupac and once again redirects the narrative.

I never understood why Mr. Smith was promoted over others in sports media. He's not likeable, talented or can speak as a former athlete (with any legitimacy). I think Mr. Whitlock is onto something. There are many super talented former a athletes & sports writers (Mr. Whitlock is the only sports show I watch) that could really bring pro sports media back to the heydays.

Jason just speaking facts. His perspective simply lines up with a biblical stand that reminds everyone the differences between mankind's natural desires and what it is to seek truth. I don't believe Jason believes he is better than Steven A. In the sense that we are all loved by a God who created us uniquely with purpose. But as for choosing Truth over fiction and lies.
This world is not accepting Truth.

Whitlock is being kind to Stephen A. The real implications of Jason's revelations are this: 30 years ago Stephen A. researched and found a man with the same name enrolled in an obscure college 500 miles away. A man who played a little basketball and wrote a little for the school paper. Needing a degree to get a job in sports journalism but lacking the character to go get one, Stephen A. assumed the man's identity and faked the degree. Then when he got famous, he paid the man off. That's the only scenario that makes sense of all the facts, imo. If true, it's a huge story. Whitlock or someone ought to pursue it.
