I love his room. It’s so spacious yet calming at the same time. And I love the natural tones as well, since it makes the room more open and not like you’re in a coffin of sorts
I feel like I am in a minimalist canoe surrounded by (my wife's) sea of clutter. The only way I can paddle into calmer waters is if the rapids come to an end before it is time for me to leave the canoe. Interesting analogy?
Oh those lovely bare walls. 😍 To me, too much wall decor is loud and overwhelming. When friends and family come into my home, often times they'll say, "Your walls are so bare!" And I respond with, "Isn't it beautiful!?" I also like the natural and wood look! So many minimalists here on RUclips have such sterile and white rooms. Which is great, works for them, but it's not my flavor. Also, hand crafted, solid wood furniture will last several lifetimes!! And it's GORGEOUS.
Good idea to pack away the tripod as it does create a pressure to film. You can find all sorts of cable/cord covers on Amazon. My favorite are the white adhesive plastic kind. I bought a kit that had different lengths.
Would definitely like to upper cut people when they ask why I have nothing on the walls. I really need to keep things minimal mostly because my bedroom is also the living room and kitchen area. 👍🏻
I just discovered your channel and I am in love with your contents. I'd really appreciate it if you can do a tutorial on how you edit and colour-grade your videos to make it look mellow and give that minimalistic feel. Keep up the awesome work :)
Simplicity!! Cable management, I use Cable Concealer On-Wall Cord Cover. I am the same way about cords. I got mine from Amazon for $14. Hope this helped! 😋
Love your room buddy, it’s really well done. Totally agree with the wood, mines like that too. Wood cream and white. That plant is great, gotta have a name tho! Great video again mate! And cmon, you knew I’d comment soon. 👍🏻
i am envious of the simplicity of your video gear lmao. i have way too much. i hate it sometimes but since i have an video production comapny, it's kind of necessary. lol
Delightful Nick, thank you. Yes i agree about the plants, the mood & nurturing they conjure. I've just broken my arm tripping over a small cable poking out from behind my desk. 😖🧡🌱💜🌿

I really like the simplicity, but i always have one qts when i watch ur video. Dont u feel bothered that you are exposing all your private space and way of living?
Love this video Nicholas. I also never hang things on the wall😆 I'm in need of plants though. Most of my furniture are also light wood/white. Keeping your work things away is excellent advice!👏💛
Im in between removing my desk from my room. I have a dedicated office that my father also uses; however, i feel that having my own desk means personal space. I’ve been trying to use it for reading and drawing but never worked.
I would love to keep plants in my room, although I live in my basement and almost no natural light gets into the room. It's quite depressing down here.
Hello! I wanted to ask you as a minimalist this question. My profession is related to creativity and I often posted it with social networks, later I realized that sitting in social networks is very bad for health. I see that you also stopped specifying your instagram in the description. Tell me if you should even sit on social media in such cases or just don't think about it and don't go in? I understand that you are not a psychologist, but I would be happy to hear from you. 💌
I always thought that the stuff to be hung up on walls should have some personal importance to it like certificates, degrees, personal photos, things of that nature. When people buy wall decor simply for decoration or they liked it at the time will have a different feeling about it later on in life.
Natural light is a real energy, motivating booster. It's also good for your plants Nicholas. Love that my home has a lot of natural light and awesome mountain views. Sets a positive and energetic tone for my day. Having a contrast of wood tone colors is a definite. It's like wall colors need complimenting color on next wall. Your bedroom is very calming, peaceful, soothing.
I have this weird relationship with decorations and things I'd like to hang up on the walls. This might be just me, but I feel like they affect me too much by "defining my identity". It is overwhelming to think about which items would "best describe who I am" in the moment and I wouldn't want to look at something that is not true to myself. (Definitely overthinking here, but oh well, this is who I am!) Therefore I can see a lot of sense in leaving the walls empty; it grants me freedom of the attachment to a certain identity I'd otherwise give to myself. The only item I'm fully content with is my world map as I'm obsessed with travelling and geography. You made a super good point on keeping work stuff away, I have to implement this too. Once your dragonfruit plant is fully grown, I'd love to see a video on your new pets 🐲😂
Nicholas, about the cables, some organizers improve the situation a little (those you put on the table and go through the wires to make them straight). I don't know if it will work for your table, but if you find any of these with a certain quality, it might be worth a try :)

I kind of like a coffin vibe. Dark and quiet. But I can see why Nick does this as I believe he works in his bedroom.

I upgraded my room by getting a humidifier and its changed the game : ) Loved the vid again, nicholas.
Thanks Nathalie!!

Wtf, week algo you has 28k subs. Congrats!

Thanks for the tip!
Loved the video but it hurt when I saw you put your sunglasses in your bag without a case and then your keys. Protect your glasses!
Won't happen again, promise!
Coś jest z dźwiękiem w tym filmie. Nie da się słychać tych trzasków. Masz membranę zatrzymującą podmuchy na mikrofonie?
I loved the tip about putting away work related items!
Great video! 😁

Plaaaaants! I agree! I may have too many, tho... 😅
Watching your video and seeing your room alone is something very soothing and salves my mind at the same time. Thanks for amazing content! ❤
Do you mind sharing the brand of the air purifier you use? I love the essential oil feature!
Leviot 😄
*facepalm* I just realized the brand name was super obvious (and in focus) in one of the frames 🙃 haha, thanks for replying though!
Love the content Nicholas! I was wondering what type of drone that is? Something I’ve been looking into, but I like the smaller size you own.
DJI Mavic Air 2
Delightful Nick, thank you. Yes i agree about the plants, the mood & nurturing they conjure.
I've just broken my arm tripping over a small cable poking out from behind my desk. 😖🧡🌱💜🌿
Sorry to hear that!!
Could you share links to some of the products you mentioned? Specifically the air purifier

Thanks so much!
Natural light increases dopamine and adrenaline levels, both of which help with motivation and focus. 🔅
how often do you post your yt videos?
I always like the stand next to your bed Nicholas. Have a great week 😀
Thanks! You too!

@Charné Lombard I actually never thought of that! I'll be sure to check some of those out. Thanks!
I’ve got a few fake plants. They look real as hell. Make them look cool and boom! All done.
Get some LED grow lights set up. I have 4 over the top of my bookcases and have a ton of plants up there.

One question, where did you got your Keyboard? :D
Vissels website 😄
You will have to wait for the dragon a little bit more Nicholas! Hahaha
“But
I don’t care.”
Loved that.
I love those vibes your videos give off 🥰 make me feel in peace and it's kind of like a therapy to me
Pure minimalist 🤏

Nothing wrong with hanging up what you like! Thanks Hajni ✌🏻

Thanks Liz! Almost want to make an entire video about cable managing my desk so thanks for the suggestion
For cable management - Daniel Titchener has some tips on cable management under the desk in his latest video.

Thanks for that! He has great content.
Just discovered your channel and love it so much! The content style, editing, and content is so pleasing.
Thanks Fran!
I really love the stand by the window. Please share where I can get it or similar design. I want to add something similar in my living room.
Was made by my Aunt and Uncle. Just stained wood on metal pipes!
❤️❤️❤️
