How to interpret trap messages, to be used in a custom OID string?

      Hi Cristóbal MS,
In order to "translate" SNMP trap messages received in PRTG into human readable context, you simply need to place the corresponding MIB file(s) in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\PRTG Network Monitor\MIB" folder. Afterwards the OIDs will be translated according to the information in the MIB by PRTG.
However, please note: To what extent these are "meaningful" texts depends very much on the MIB file itself, PRTG takes over the texts 1:1 without adding anything or even interpreting them.
      Hope this fits your needs.

      @@gau54865 Hello Gautier,
the MIB files would only be needed to translate the trap OIDs. PRTG can receive the raw traps without a MIB. If you open the "Messages" tab ob the Trap Receiver sensor, do you see any entries?
If there are none, please check the sensor options. Is the input filter set to "any"? Also, please check if you get traps when you add the receiver sensor on the Probe Device itself (rather on a newly created device object) because that device object's host address would be used as additional input filter. Please also check if the trap-sending device sends the traps to the right probe.
