In Windows 11, Open File Explorer from Search. In quick access(left side panel) you will find Desktop. Right click on it. Go to Properties->Location. Click on Restore Default.

while doing same thing with document and pictures An error occurs that You can not move folder because there is a folder in same location. what to do?

You need to log in in One Drive and disable sync with these folders. If its still not possible, sync it and then dissync it. Then it worked for me to change location of these folders.

@@hugemungus go to settings or control panel and click on onedrive. Then you can do the same procedure as above once the file explorer is open. You should be able to see location when you click on properties

The issue im having with this is that when i move the files, it says there's no space on the hard drive. I believe when i change the location it just creates copies of everything again? I unlinked my pc and deleted onedrive, and all of my desktop was gone. I tried restoring it and the files went up again, but now their path is through onedrive. When i followed the method here i assume it will duplicate all the files, how do i fix that?
The last message made me confused when I tried it before watching this video and did not want to try accept it because I was scared of messing something up or losing something. Will my dektop look exactly the same as before, just being in different location? Will my current Desktop location in OneDrive just disappear to the new location?

@Comrevo I finally tried this, but when I did a lot of stuff on my Desktop disappeard (only a few folders and files remained for some reason) and they are not in the original default Desktop folder but still in Desktop under my OneDrive folder. My Desktop is almost empty but I can see everything I had under OneDrive Desktop folder instead. I don't understand, I'm so confused. I hate OneDrive so much.
You can just cut and paste the folder from OneDrive to Users.

@@Comrevo i will try that tomorrow, sir. But what about the documents and Pictures Folder? Same issue, no Location tab in Properties. My one drive was already uninstalled, but everything still goes into the Folder. I re-installed It to fix everything but nothing worked. Thank you for replying, you are very kind🙋♂️

@@Comrevo The method worked for the Desktop Folder. For documents and pictures I had to reinstall onedrive, disable Backup again and unlink the pc. Such a pain in the a**! However everything seems to work now. Thank you very much for your help! You are kind person!

While doing this, I clicked on the move option and unknowingly merged my user_name folder with the desktop and now I am unable to get the location option in properties. What can I do now?
Try to cut and paste your user_name folder
I am trying to do the same with the documents folder, but I get an error message that this folder cannot be moved because some folders inside it dont allow it. That's pretty strange
