    I have followed and believed certain private revelation for more than 40 years and seen it unfold. When I was a child I could not have imagined a time when ordinary Christians in the West such as myself would be in danger of imprisonment. We must take the signs of the times very seriously. What is being imposed on us all is catastrophic and must be resisted. I see around me complete indifference to Christ, no one bats an eyelid at serious sin. Even in church and among the most devout there is a lack of supernatural faith in the power of our Lord in the Eucharist, hence fear of sickness, fear and suspicion of each other. I say this not in a spirit of judgment but in sadness and dismay. We all need to turn back to Christ, practise authentic Catholicism, learn the catechism, receive the sacraments frequently, pray and do penance for our fellow men. Urgently. Brian and Mark, I follow both of you and find you speak the truth with clarity. God bless your ministry and all who come here.

    As someone who has followed Mark Mallet for some time, I find him to be truthful, accurate and inspirational. I trust his judgement on the things he writes because it is less about his opinion and more about his being able to link up writings of the Fathers of Church, Doctors of the Church, Popes, Saints and Scripture to help us understand the times we are in and what we are to do. I really enjoyed this podcast.

    Never rule it out, lads. My advice is to treat every day as if it might be the last day, because we have his own word that Christ is coming at "an hour you do not expect". Don't worry about it overmuch, but never rule it out. Go to confession, if you have any serious sins, and then pray, hope, and tend to what's demanded of you. Anything more is foolish.

Some of us have this approach but that doesn't have to mean that you pray and have your happy prayer life and then just live according to the tendencies of the moment only filtering what you think is not "Christian". We have to feel the urgence and knowing what times we're living in helps you have that urgence.

    When I converted to Catholicism, I really didn't want to know anything about private revelation bc I'd had such bad, divisive experiences growing up with rapture talks and wild predictions. However, when Covid hit, I was terrified and Mark's ministry really helped me raise my mind to what God can do, what the Angel's can do, and what our priorities should be, not just now, but should have been there all along. I have realized that I was coasting in my faith and using it as an intellectual talking point, but not really trusting Him deep down because I have so many other things in modern society to rely on. I have really appreciated reading many of the seers he introduced me to, especially Luisa Picaretta and Jennifer

In the past couple years especially, we have been uniquely betrayed not only by every secular institution, but by those in the hierarchy appointed to be our spiritual fathers. By the Holy Spirit and through Mark's ministry, I've been given to realize that the times God has given us serve as the most profound and stark invitation to abandon ourselves to Him like little children, that while there is nothing and nobody in the world left worthy of trust, God Himself is our Father who loves us, and He will never abandon us.

    Mr Mallet’s own attempt to show the importance of “our time” by quoting Saints and Popes, I think demonstrates just how seriously we should attend to speculations of this or that event signaling the “end times”: P. St. Pius X speculated that due to the antiChristian spirit of his age the Antichrist may already be living. We should always be wary of speculation, let alone supposed seers that continue to receive and publish “revelation”.

Two dioceses have denied Fr Michel Rodrigue. Both Gisella Cardia and Maria de Luz Bonilla's message seem spot onto start but then they take a turn that no other approved messages do with specifics like nanotechnology or the like. Contrast that Luisa Picaretta who is a Servant of God but her writings can't be published yet officially. It's the combination of the questionable with the positive that he promotes that concerns me.

I do think that the seriousness in the Church (and hierarchy) in relating the Apostles/Church Fathers words to our current amazingly difficult times (near future?) is definitely lacking. In that particular Gospel reading. Jesus was answering two questions. The first was when the Temple would be destroyed. The second was when the world will end. When Jesus said this generation would not pass away before these things happen, he was talking about the Temple - in A.D. 30-something, with the Temple being destroyed less than 40 years later. The very fact he said that about 'this generation' means he had to be talking about the Temple and not the end of the world, because no one but the Father knows the answer to the second question, as Jesus tells us.

      @paulmiller3469 2 года назад +3

      @@alan-muscat No, if I understand your question, I'm not saying that. Again, he was responding to two questions. With the first, he told the apostles how to discern the 'when,' but with the second, he says no one but the Father knows. He carries that thought into the next parable, which was about the servants not knowing when their master was coming back, and he provided the moral lesson - keep watch. As an aside, the Church teaches that Jesus is fully human and fully divine, and Church fathers like Jerome speculated that his divine self knows everything the Father knows but his human self didn't at that time. This would explain his response the same question in another Gospel as being it is not for you to know when I'm coming back... so keep watch.

    Jesus Himself talked about the Priests of their day not recognizing the signs of the times of His first coming. He used a weather analogy. Everybody can guess the weather by looking at the sky at certain times. But there is a considerable difference between regular people gazing at the sky and a trained meteorologist. That’s how I see people like Mark. He’s read, studied and tracked for 16 years. You can’t wave a wand and just gain all that experience all at once. But even the most experienced meteorologist can’t usually pin point every weather event down to precise details. And so they take a lot of heat from the peanut gallery and the Monday morning arm chair quarterbacks. Now, the less experienced or less qualified watchmen throwing out date after date has brought out the mockers. It’s a tough environment out there, just like the enemy wants it. Hats off for people like Mark doing what’s right for the right reasons. Thank you 🙏

    "Amen I say to you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done".
    There are four ways in which this may be understood:
    One is that, considering that, as Brian well points out, in Matthew 24, different topics are blended together (individual death, destruction of Jerusalem, end of the world), this may well be referring to the destruction of Jerusalem that happened during the apostles' lifetime.
    A second possible interpretation is the one given by Mark Mallet.
    A third interpretation is given by Jacobus Tirinus (XVI - XVII), jesuit biblical scholar, which says that the generation of the Jews shall not cease to exist till all is accomplished, that is, it will continue to the end of the world. (It goes along with St. Jerome).
    And there is a fourth way in which this could be interpreted, which is given by St. John Chrysostom, which says that, by generation, is not meant the people living in that time, but the age of the believers. Pointing out that Jesus is prone to distinguish a generation not by times only but also by the mode of their religious service and practice.
    It is worth mentioning that the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem may be a prefiguration of the end of the world. The end might be, say, veiled in this narrative. Different layers of interpretation are possible.

    • @kbeetles
      @kbeetles 2 года назад

    Regardless of whether this vision or that message has received approval be the ecclesial authorities, it is important to hold private revelation with a bit of aloof detachment.
    St John of the Cross, Doctor of the Church, wrote against not only seeking visions and prophecy for ourselves but of their usefulness. Drawing an analogy to the prophets of ancient times he says we are apt to misinterpret direct communication from God due to our own predilections. Think of the Scribes anticipating a warrior Messiah rather than the suffering servant.
    I’d be even more careful once personal fame and especially financial gain is introduced into disseminating private revelation. One of the favourite quotes for sedes and some trads supposedly from Our Lady of La Salette (that Rome will lose the faith) was an invention of one of the seers once she gained celebrity.

    • @GMLFire
      @GMLFire 2 года назад

      Somewhat a misquote of John of the Cross:
      “ 5. "And, besides all this, when the soul sees that such extraordinary things happen to it, it is often visited, insidiously and secretly by a certain complacency, so that it thinks itself to be of some importance in the eyes of God; which is contrary to humility. The devil, too, knows how to insinuate into the soul a secret satisfaction with itself, which at times becomes very evident; wherefore he frequently represents these objects to the senses, setting before the eyes figures of saints and most beauteous lights; and before the ears words very much dissembled; and representing also sweetest perfumes, delicious tastes (281) and things delectable to the touch; to the end that, by producing desires for such things, he may "lead the soul into much evil".
      ~>>These representations and feelings, therefore, “must always be rejected”; for, even though some of them be of God, He is not offended by their rejection, nor is the effect and fruit which He desires to produce in the soul by means of them any the less surely received because the soul rejects them and desires them not."

      @TSliw 2 года назад +1

      @@GMLFire My replies haven't shown up, maybe because I included a link, so I'll try a third time. I was pulling St John clearly from a different work than you.
      Taken from The Ascent of Mount Carmel, Chapter 19.
      FOR two reasons we have said that, although visions and locutions which come from God are true, [ ... ] One reason is the defective way in which we understand them; [ ... ] In the first place, it is clear that they are not always as they seem, nor do they turn out as they appear to our manner of thinking. The reason for this is that, since God is vast and boundless, He is wont, in His prophecies, locutions and revelations, to employ ways, concepts and methods of seeing things which differ greatly from such purpose and method as can normally be understood by ourselves; and these are the truer and the more certain the less they seem so to us. This we constantly see in the Scriptures. To many of the ancients many prophecies and locutions of God came not to pass as they expected, because they understood them after their own manner, in the wrong way, and quite literally [ ... ]
      and
      5. In this way, and in many other ways, souls are oftentimes deceived with respect to locutions and revelations that come from God, because they interpret them according to their apparent sense [Lit., 'according to the rind.' Cf. bk. II ch. viii, above.] and literally; whereas, as has already been explained, the principal intention of God in giving these things is to express and convey the spirit that is contained in them, which is difficult to understand. And the spirit is much more pregnant in meaning than the letter, and is very extraordinary, and goes far beyond its limits. And thus, he that clings to the letter, or to a locution or to the form or figure of a vision, which can be apprehended, will not fail to go far astray, and will forthwith fall into great confusion and error, because he has guided himself by sense according to these visions, and not allowed the spirit to work in detachment from sense.
      Lastly
      10. From this it is clear that, although sayings and revelations may be of God, we cannot always be sure of their meaning; for we can very easily be greatly deceived by them because of our manner of understanding them. For they are all an abyss and a depth of the spirit, and to try to limit them to what we can understand concerning them, and to what our sense can apprehend, is nothing but to attempt to grasp the air, and to grasp some particle in it that the hand touches: the air disappears and nothing remains.

    15:30 Luisa Picaretta is a Servant of God because of her life, not her mystical experiences. I’m sorry but her writings have not yet been approved as authentic. They are considered ‘neutral’ (this is from the official website) and are also in several aspects quite controversial in light of Church teaching, adding several new things and other troubling red flags so Mark’s comment about her being “probably one of the most approved seers in the Church” is well intended but unfortunately misleading. But Mark, God bless you for your love of God and your zeal.
