The whole George situation was so funny already, but seeing Sarah's absolute disgust with the scene is SO MUCH BETTER

the scene of them singing was absolutely supposed to be a parody of some of those feel-good kind of scenes in movies where everyone just bursts out into song. its just so absurd and out of place i immediately lost my shit the minute becky started singing. you having the same appalled reaction as anya made it way funnier 😂
Milking the attetion George... He got what he wants with his gloomy thoughs, so... little kids for you... But it was sweet seeing Desmond dancing and falling for that like the little kid he is.
It was obviously made to feel weird. That whole extravaganza with a song and farewells is in contrast with the entire show, which is why it feels odd and out of place. And it's precisely this cringy buffoonery and contrast that create a comedic effect when everything drops back to normal. After all, they're kids, and it just shows how kids can exaggerate things and their own emotions to extreme levels just through imagination. It's great comedy, the way they just start singing all of a sudden makes it much funnier))

Don't worry Sarah, George's over dramatic delivery is DEFINITELY supposed to make you cringe. It was funny seeing how absolutely baffled you were. Don't forget that this is a comedy anime! That scene is supposed to be stupid and funny.
I always end up feeling a bit bad for George. We've all had that moment as kids where we make something a way bigger deal in our heads, only to have some adult tell us that it isn't a big deal and we're left dumbfounded. That was my experience, anyways.

just as a slight correction, the reason they pronounce George "Georgey" is the way the word would've been spelled in Japanese, it is written in Katakana ジョージ ジ "Ji" ョー "O" ジ "Ji" so what they're saying is "Jorji"
As there's no real easy way to have George pronounced in Japanese as their vowels and Consonants work somewhat differently than ours
I'm not sure if George will return. After this episode, he probably wants to dig himself a very big hole and never come out of it.
You should watch 07-Ghost anime!!!!!!!!! It really emotional and really hella fun to watch it. Even though they dropped this anime back then, it not a popular anime but I hope you will watch someday and enjoys it. It's more than eye to eye with them. ๐·°(⋟﹏⋞)°·๐

Whether Desmond would care if Damian (also the elder brother) doesn't matter. They're elite of elites surrounded by other elites. When they find out that both Damian and the elder brother got expelled, their standing and reputation would fall drastically. And I believe Sarah is heartless as well XD

Well, is a trademark in anime to name your attacks and/or movements, you can thank Dragon Ball Z for popularizing that in the anime industry, especially the ones that goes for children. (Shonen in japanese).
Personally, I always thought Yor would be the one to have feelings first, if she's not thinking about killing, she's scared of messing things up or not being a good enough mother/wife.
Twilight tho, It's gonna be difficult... Not impossible but not this early for sure.
He's ALWAYS in work mode, being a good father/husband IS part of the mission, that and avoiding the cold war to explode.
A good example would be Loid and Yor "first kiss" in front of Yuri: Yor panicked because she never kissed anyone before ESPECIALLY in front of her brother but Loid was pretty quick to say "ok sure, if that's all you need".
