I told her that I literally just got off work and he charges me trying to attack me.
I had to pin him against the wall while he was yelling at me about wanting to kill me and not caring about going to jail.
I already had my issues with him before that climatic point in my life, but that was the final nail in the coffin.
Only a small percentage of me miss him, but for the most part I could care less about his passing 🤷🏾‍♂️. His actions reminded me of my school bullies back then and all the other positive things he had done got erased by his negatives.

"A father and son shouldn't be fighting", you'd be surprised. I had to deal with that myself with my own dad, especially since he gets violent when he's drunk(an alcoholic), and normally I try to keep to myself or not fight him, but one time he just pushed me to far, and I knocked him on his ass. Apparently, after that incident, my mother told me I scared my dad and why he would stay out at his land, and drink, instead of coming home drunk.
I felt bad, since I HATE violence and fighting, but it's always ironic when someone tries to taunt you into fighting, and then you finally give them what they want, they're nothing but bravado.

On the streets…. There are no rules… 5 vs 1.. hammer vs knife.. gun vs unarmed man… just get ready to do the time if you do the crime. When you’re in the chow room, eating slop with warm water, sleeping on the most uncomfortable mattress made, taking a dump in front of 30 men with zero privacy, wishing you could get at least 5 minutes of freedom.. it’s gonna hit you … “was it worth it?”

@John Smith I agree, prisons where I learned because someone looks tough doesn’t mean they can fight. Now I ironically help train police officers in judo which I’m a brown belt in under Olympian Tarek Moneir. Being a competitive bjj blue belt with world champ Paulo Santana helps too. It’s amazing how undertrained law enforcement is, subduing someone is literally grappling. A way to win in judo is a 20 second pin, but you only have 20 seconds to get it once you hit the ground. Being able to put someone down and safely pin them would do wonders if it was required training. No one ever died from kesa gatame (pin).

    • @thedopesickshow

@@DrFigs actually far from it, no one ever died from a judo pin but they have died from a knee to the neck. White belts are spazzy and careless, and everyone outside the gym including the average cop is a white belt.

You know what? That clip of the elder woman reminded me of something. Three days ago, i was washing the dishes in the kitchen and my grandma entered, started yelling because she had and argument with my sister so she was angry. She was making so much noise that the neighbours eventually complained. I tried to convince my grandma to calm down but she started pushing me away, literally, and making threats that she would kick me and beat me up. I just backed away because i had enough and went to my room but she chased me and started slaping and kicking me for no reason. All i did was holding her sleeves and make her hold still, but she tried to headbutt me so I dragged her against the fridge and let go of her sleeves. I stepped away again. If I had this confrontation with a stranger, even if it seemed bigger and stronger than me, i wouldn't just hold their sleeves, she was lucky that she was family. A couple of hours later she complained to the rest of my family and said that i assaulted her, and that if she wanted i would have been knocked out. Glad I had witnesses. This is just to say that just because someone is older thatn you or a family member, they don't have the right to full on assault you just because they are angry. There is a difference between schooling your kids when they are disrespectful or screw up big time, but even then there are limits. I got hit up by belts, spoons, boots, hands, sleepers in my face, butt and hand when i was a kid and it was contained even if painful, it was also deserved. It also a right only my parents had. I'm 20 years old now, i don't have time to deal with this shit anymore, even my father knows it. If he wants to be mad at me he knows he can't turn things physical because it's not right anymore and things can get serious now.

"Speak softly and carry a large stick" my dad is a gentle nice man that served in the army for 12 years as a pilot. I was 30 nothing years old and I had been trained in a few different martial arts through the years, my fist mistake was disrespecting my mom because I was a hot head and I thought I was right (long story short) I went to kick my dad in the head in a narrow hallway and he proceeded to catch it , run me town the hall, all while my leg was up in the air and he smashed me against the wall severely tearing my hamstring and tearing my hip labrum. I knew I was hurt real bad and I went into shock and had to be air lifted to a hospital in Anchorage Alaska from Nome because the hospital in Nome could not treat my injuries and I stopped breathing 4 times in the life flight there. My dad fucked my whole world up and a new respect and tone came from me ever since. I was a pretty tough kid and thought I was the shit and my father under five seconds almost killed me. It broke his heart my ego and made me do some serious self evaluation. It changed me too. My dad of course felt awful and I had to reassure him on many occasions that "dad, I had it coming" and sometimes there's bull headed people like myself who learn valuable life lessons from violence. Was i still Billy bad ass? Yes, but with a much more level headed approach. Some people have never gotten beaten up and they start to think its impossible, there's nothing like getting handled in 5 seconds to knock you back to earth. It was a very valuable life lesson and im glad it happened. I'm permanently damaged from it and the only thing I would take back is how I spoke to my mom. I needed an ego check and I bit off a lot bigger peice then I knew until I was hospitalized for 6 days. To all the tough guys out there, as long as you are aware that there is a lot tougher guys out there then you then you shouldn't be too shocked when you get your ass kicked. Part of the real tough guy act is being able to except defeat and not come back with a gun.

the one with the father hit close to home, when i was a teen (15-17) my dad roughed me up when he would get pissed, i would try to tell him that’s not the way to go, and i would tell him we should talk in a civil reasonable manner, but he would ultimately become fed up and push me around, kick me and throw in a punch to the chest or two, not the worst case scenario, but still hurt to see the intentions of my father towards his son… despite his actions towards me, i have always been devout in the loyalty to my father and never raised my hand to him, why would i ever want to hurt someone i love? why would i hurt my family? it makes no sense to me… but as a couple years passed, i had been working out and eating a lot, i’m 19 now and as i am working to be able to leave and set out on my own, i have interactions with my father still. he has told me my back has grown to be more broad, and well i workout, the other day we arm wrestled and i won (we sometimes would arm wrestle in family reunions with uncles, drinking a few beers, relaxed situations really) he didn’t know how to take the irrefutable truth i was getting stronger. since around the time i turned 18 years, i get the feeling he’s gotten to see me as a threat and well, even when he’s pissed off, he hasn’t hit me or anything… like he’s being wary of me, i’m glad i have gotten stronger, it’s a deterrent to avoid conflict with someone i care about deeply. i want to make it clear i don’t seek strength to abuse of other people, but to better myself, my advice to anyone, is to never cross the line and engage against a parent, your relationship will never be the same, but don’t put up with violence either, it’s a tough situation to be in, i’m glad me and my pops have never fought, it would turn into a bloody mess. you don’t have unlimited time with your parents, cherish the time with them, they’re not going to be around forever.
