Professor I have a question .It says if bearings are used in conjunction with other supports ,the couple moment reactions become redundant and are not shown on the free body diagram.I wonder if bearings' couple moment reaction become redundant or all the couple moment reactions become redundant.Could you help me?
The reaction moments at bearings are dropped if other supports can prevent the rotation of the body. BTW, in mechanics of solids class you will learn how to deal when the body has more supports (and of other types) than needed for static equilibrium.

How to calculate radial loads for bearing calculation?
In this example, the reactions Ay and By are the radial loads for bearings A & B. Bx would be the thrust load at bearing B.
