The MonsterVerse is an American multimedia franchise and a shared cinematic universe which features Godzilla, King Kong, and other monster characters owned and created by Toho Co., Ltd. I still find it hard to believe that shimo is the 1st titan simply because of that giant skeleton kong crossed. That tells me either shimo really wasn't the 1st because of how big the skeleton was or that somewhere out there, there are probably some colossal titans that dwarf godzilla and everyone else. Ik we don't know exactly how old the skeleton is but the fact that it's that big is wat really has my mind speculating
Kong’s gauntlet only dazed Godzilla for 3 seconds. And we saw how quickly Godzilla recovered after it. The GxK novel even states Kong was super exhausted after landed 20+ hits. Godzilla quickly recovered seconds after. Which confirms he wasn’t knocked out. Also the fact Kong was confirmed exhausted after that, proves he couldn’t have kept going. Plus the gauntlet lacks the Attack potency to kill Godzilla. And Godzilla has tanked far FAR worse in the past. So the likely hood of it killing him is slim to none. And Godzilla immediately retaliated after. So Kong was screwed from the beginning. He couldn’t even stop a pissed off Godzilla. Kong fans love to argue that if he was serious, he would have won. But the novel gives us more than enough detail and proof to confirm he wouldn’t have had any chance and would have only pissed off Godzilla to the point that he is blood lusted.

What did happen in the novel tho is this: kong doesn’t want to fight Godzilla at first, but the second he he did, he punched Godzilla once, staggered him, punched him a second time and floored him. Then he starts pummeling Godzilla, who then tries to activate his atomic breath, but kong, knowing what’s about to happen, punches him as he’s tryna release it, which leaves him motionless (not dazed, literally unmoving, basically knocked out lmao). Kong, expecting him to get back up, gets ready to punch him again, but he realizes Godzilla literally isn’t moving (because he’s momentarily unconscious) and decides to pick him up and drag him towards the vortex. By the time he gets close, he realizes Godzilla is moving to activate his atomic breath again, and he tries to get away. Events of the movie take place, and kong has to get saved from from an atomic breath to the face by Mothra.
Nowhere is it stated that Godzilla was only dazed for 3 seconds. Nowhere in any of that was it stated that kong was super exhausted (wouldn’t even make sense considering he goes on to fight in the final battle literally immediately after this). What is stated however, is that kong was strong enough to floor Godzilla pretty easily, and hit him hard enough to leave him motionless (knocked out) for long enough to pick him up by his tail, and drag him a good distance toward the vortex, so obviously for a good bit of time. And we know for a fact that he would’ve done even better with his axe that’s capable of absorbing Godzillas atomic breath lmao. Let me end this off by saying that obviously kong is NOT STRONGER than Godzilla, but to argue that kong didn’t atleast have a good chance at winning there would just be disingenuous

What up with this Zilla fans wanted attention to get their point of zilla being more powerful than Kong , WE KNOW THAT . A punch is a punch Kong earned silla respect and give him a fight , why can get you get over it?
It is quite telling just how powerful and intelligent the Great Apes are since they made it so high on the list. And honestly, sometimes I feel that fiction lowball how physically powerful creatures like King Kong would actually be. In real life, I have read that gorillas can lift like 10 times their body weight. Imagine a giant gorilla fighting another creature its size. That is not to say that Kong is the deadliest, but I think King Kong would have been able to push/knock Godzilla and other monsters around a bit more.

I heard Godzilla is 2-5 million years and Shimo at least 3 million years old. Some said it means "ultimate titan" not "original".
Pink Godzilla was technically holding back when he was fighting with Kong against ScarKing & Shimo. Because Godzilla was planning to destroy ScarKing, Shimo, & the army of giant apes by using a giant explosion.
The fact that Pink Godzilla has more energy than when he killed King Ghidorah, means the energy Pink Godzilla had was going to cause far more damage.
If Kong & Mothra weren’t there, Godzilla would’ve wanted for ScarKing, Shimo, & the army of giant apes to showed up, then blow them up & the world, killing millions of people. And Godzilla will just wait for the next threat.
😂 Thats not what the novel tells us. evolved Goji was still at disadvantage against Shimo. Only supercharged evolved Goji is said equal to her, yet it's still a toss up.
Considering the fact that she tanked the strongest atomic spiral ray breath and is the heavy-weight of the two, it's very unlikely that even supercharged evolved Goji comes on top.
Also, at no point Shimo was fighting seriously on her own, she was just forced under pain.

What if Kong was not sedated(they were still affecting him in the battle), was not rusty(he hadn't fought since, well, Camazotz presumably), and had both the glove and the axe in his fight against Godzilla? Just saying there are statements that says Mothra is the second most powerful protector Titan and first is Godzilla around KoTM and that was Kong’s prime until the new movie.
I still find it hilarious that people love to shit on Kong for clearly not actually being a real match for Godzilla without help, but people seem to forget the very fact that coming out of being sedated on water he managed to survive at all with Godzilla. That’s a feat even Ghidorah doesn’t have since every time he was brought into the water he was allowed to escape from outside intervention every time

I agree with the rankings, although I think the analysis on the kong vs Godzilla fight is somewhat misguided as stating Godzilla initially began losing simply due not knowing about the glove can be countered by Kong clearly not wanting to fight Godzilla. I think the movie implies they are somewhat equal in this movie with their abilities having just better counters against different opponents giving the appearance of one dominating. They also imply neither could truly win without the other and even mothra at that. I’d give the edge to super charged Godzilla but not by a wide margin.

Natural strength-wise, Ghidorah seemed to be in a league all his own.
The dude could generate hazardous storms just be being where he is and survived the Oxygen Destroyer and Godzilla (on his own) was only on the verge of killing him because he had him in his element- underwater.
Godzilla literally only beat Ghidorah once and for all after absorbing the radiation of a nuke as well as Mothra's essence, powering him up.
Sure, Shimo could cause an ice age and even give other Titans frostbite, but it's possible Ghidorah would have some form of control over both her and maybe Skar King.
Then again, considering they found Ghidorah frozen in ice, I wouldn't put it past me if Shimo was the one who put him on ice.

I think you did Ghidorah kinda bogus on this. Shimo only froze him after being jumped. Burning Godzilla based on portrayal should be above Pink Godzilla and if Ghidorah was given the chance and narrative given the fact he's on Earth he could absorb a lot of energy that surpasses both forms of Godzilla.

Godzilla was "younger" but not exactly young. He had fought Ghidorah, Shimo (according to the cave paintings) and fought in the Great Titan War, so Godzilla was already extremely powerful and seasoned in combat, The Rival was simply better. I wish everyone would stop making excuses for Godzilla--he got beat, everyone and everything does at some point. And stop trying to downplay Kong. He didn't get any viable help to beat the devil Skullcrawler, he did it himself as HE was the most powerful titan on Skull Island.

I love this video, however, I do have a problem with the observation made that Shimo never froze Godzilla. In the Zero gracity battle, Shimo did indeed freeze Godzilla BEFORE Mothra intervened. He then broke free. I believe the new form came with an increase in heat and body temp in order to combat Shimo's ice based abilities. That's just my thoughts, though.

Pink is nowhere even close to Burning. The creator of Pink, Mechagodzilla, Shimo and Skar King has an inflated view of his murderous machine, but a consistent one, and one that can be used as a measuring stick.
He's stated multiple times base Godzilla would win a close battle with the mech, with pink Godzilla definitely winning and having an upperhand especially at full power BUT mentioned objectively the mech can't survive Burning at all. That is the literal creator of the pink form saying it's vastly below Burning in power, which makes the most sense given how the novel of New Empire consistently states Shimo is comparable to Ghidorah-even after the battle with the supposed highest energy readings (which aren't exactly the most accurate data in the verse anyway) with the main difference is her lack of genocidal tendencies. And I wouldn't take a toy box statement over this elaboration.
I would also favor Ghidorah over Shimo in a fight. It's not exactly hard to stop her ice breath, the small flying creatures that only have the electric power of a lightning bolt were able to stop her. Ghidorah's gravity beams would more than suffice. Should they be physically comparable as the new empire novel REALLY wants us to believe (movie alone her feats are kinda lacking), Ghidorah has his regeneration, energy absorption, flight, much higher intelligence and absurd stamina to put him over the top. Worst comes to worst, he could drop her from the outer atmosphere and soften her up a little bit.
Multiple statements say it’s stronger, man. Saying anything else is just cope.
