The "Aquapazza" clip might require some explanation. The game has something called an emotion mechanic. There are various facets to it but the main takeaway is that being aggressive puts you in high emotion while being defensive and spamming certain moves puts you in low emotion. While there are differences character to character, generally being in high emotion increases damage dealt as well as enhances supers and low emotion increases damage taken. Also, being below 50% health (on your second health bar) increases the benefits of high and decreases the detriments of low. A minor comeback mechanic of sorts. Tamaki is the game's resident grappler as well if that wasn't obvious, so her grab supers hit very hard. The one shown in the video can be churned (rapid continual 360 motions) for even more damage. Needless to say, it already has the potential of being able to do way too much damage. So, to give the numbers for that specific exchange: The attacking Tamaki is in high emotion with below 50% health (30% damage dealt increase) + The Tamaki getting hit is in low emotion with above 50% health (30% damage taken increase) + An enhanced Grab Super that's also churned to hell --------------------------------------------- = too much damage and a dead character
I remember watching arcade footage where a Karulau player landed counter hit B+C straight into critical hit Gouhajin in the corner. I don't recall if it killed or not, but I wish I could find it to submit for this segment because it does comically high damage for such a simple combo.
For anyome craving the forbidden knowledge, the boko bar is essentially a guard gauge. When it fills up you enter a stun state and take extra damage. Game rules, go play it
@@Clarkbardoone it's so sick. It actually kinda reminds me of Sailor Moon in that it's a fairly simple game built around obnoxiously strong defensive options. Fun fact: If Dhalsim Excels with full meter, he can build back a full bar in the juggles between each Excel, meaning he is one of the few characters who can get a quad-Excel combo. Real talk though, the Excel mechanic in SFEX2 is super well-balanced. It's invincible to start but your opponent can counter-excel or use a super to get out of it, and the relative cost of a super is so low compared to other games that it's actually worthwhile to do so. I wish more people played SFEX, it's a sick series.
