Thanks for stopping by for another super fun card show video! This was our first in December this year, and my aim is to show you firsthand how the sports card market is feeling in December. I learned something from this show, and I hoped you did from watching the video! Stay tuned for next week where we go to our last show of the year!
Heck yeah, and for $75, hard to beat. Except I got the Football version too (Jerry Rice, Michael Irvin, Marvin Harrison, etc.) for only $45!! It was featured on my sports card market video if you are interested. Thanks for stopping by!
Hey there! Jim is awesome, and almost every time I see him we talk about the Jordan auto card you bought! That's a sweet card you have in your collection! Thanks for stopping by!
@@ThatSportsCardsGuy I'd been in the market for a Jordan auto for awhile, and even had some deals online that fell through. I don't live in Seattle any longer but I did at the time and used to go to the Twin Oaks shows every weekend other than the Portland show, so when I saw it in your video I knew that it was "local". Then when I saw it in person, I knew that there was no chance that I was going to walk away without it. The auto on it is bold and gorgeous, and I don't see it ever leaving my collection.
Ripping boxes? For sure, rip with caution, and do it seldom, just for fun, and you are good. But spend $30k a year and get $2k in cards, that's a bad investment and a poor form of entertainment lol! Thanks for stopping by!
I wouldn't necessarily say "dumping" but it's a testament to singles continuing to drop, consistently year after year since 2021. Montana does sign a lot, so his leaf auto cards were always $50-$75, but just an example of how low these cards are hitting as demand goes down, and supply goes up. Thanks for stopping by!
Good for you for not succumbing to those ridiculously high prices on those cards u wanted. I may be mistaken but I think that was the same Seller that had the 90 Impel cards psa 9 stan lee, psa 10 spidey, wolverine) way overpriced at 3X+ comps. How do these Dealers expect to draw business if they sticker everything so stupid high. Most will tell you they discount off the sticker but what they don't understand is that if the sticker is too high, most Buyers won't even bother asking. If I see a card stickered at $100 and I know comps are $30, I'm not going to risk offending the Dealer by offering such a low amount, even IF the dealer would have done the price I'm asking. Dealer's don't understand that concept of pricing high but not too high as to prevent potential buyers from even making an offer. I dont mind paying a bit higher than comps at a show cus I know it's the time and effort they put into a show and the fact that I can instantly get the card and see it up close. But to be way higher on the sticker is just stupid from a Dealer's perspective cus they won't even get the initial engagement of a potential buyer to start negotiations cus the Buyer is already thinking this Dealer is out of touch of reality so why even waste the time. Anyway, there is never any need to rush a buy. Next month those cards will be less and he wished he sold them to you!
Ha, love it, you are spot on. 100% agree. I think pride and greed get in the way. I like to sticker my cards right at or slightly above comps, not 3x. A card not sold today will sell later for less in this spiraling market. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts & insights!
As someone that has gone to these specific shows for years, I can tell you that many of the dealers there really need to figure out how to price stuff. I see these videos and recognize the exact same cards from years ago because they never sell. It’s nuts.

Look to be 350+ But it’s A Mall most buyers do shows and online not mall Aka frees code!
Hey there, thanks for stopping by! I'm not following what you mean by 350+, or "not malls", or frees code, but either way, hope you enjoyed the video!
If guys like Joe Montana etc autographs are now going for $25, that means the market's getting flooded with that stuff and people are dumping.
Montana has been signing a ton of stuff in the part few years.
