Taoism is a Chinese orthodox culture and a world heritage of human beings. Synchronizing back to Chinese written history, circa 3000 B.C., Taoism may be the oldest religion known on earth.
This is not Taoism, this is Animism, most people are misled. Actual Taoism is never a religion, just life philosophy like the Holy Bible and Buddha's teaching. Basically these 3 major philosophies are leading us to the same destination, God! 上天, 上帝， whatever we address Him. These people are practitioners of 法科 = magik. The stuff that's not encouraged in the Bible as it's dangerous to mess with spirits that we cannot see and communicate. The so called gods that are invited may not be the actual deity invited, just a random spirit impersonating the gods.

雖然不敢百分之百相信是真的。可我小時候生過大病。是二伯爺介紹的一種草藥煮燙救我的命。然後我媽媽就去到處砍樹，挖根。不然我3不5時就暈倒。跳童也不是神明每次都來。這是我們華人的傳統和文化。不管我在哪裡看到二伯爺。我都會跪下給他一拜。不然我不可能健康長大。

有一点很好奇为何在新加玻很多神庙当大二爷伯降临时都是会背部撞椅背前后摇摆，而其它国家例如马来西亚，台湾这些国家的大二爷伯来时又不是这样？是神也有国界之分吗？
神哪有国界之别。那个是真的，自己心里有数就行。本人觉得多数都不真。
台灣很少大二爺伯的乩身
应该是每个人的体质不一样，反应也不一样吧，就好像有些乩童静静地就被上身，有的动作很大，旁边需要有人，像刚才那个济公也是。我爸年轻时也是乩童，师父上身反应不大，不过我爸持戒很严，从小，每逢初一十五都跟他和其他徒弟一起吃斋，也吃过清齋（3天都只吃水果），连泳池都不可以去。我觉得除了不同的神明有不同的反应，自身修行持戒也有相关。
