Maybel's Round Pen Ride

Maybel is my 4yr old Paint mare that i've been workin with for awhile now in the safety and comfort of her pen. She has been doin really good in her pen, so I felt she was ready to take it to the next level. She did really good taking into account that my 17yr old son was in the round pen recording the video as well as other horses and various other things goin on around her.

This mare is very beautiful. :) For her first ride, that's outstanding progress. My mare acts like Mabel did in the first few seconds of your video EVERY time someone else gets on her. Because I'm really the only one who rides her, she only understands my body language and cues. Lol. She also just hates other people. :P But seriously. Mabel is beautiful.

At least you are aware of what you are doing, the horse will definitely thank you for that later.
I know it's a lot easier said than done though, like, I know what I AM supposed to be doing, but my body doesn't always agree with my brain lol
and yes, I am in the same position as you, I have a 3 y/o that is just as stubborn as I am!
