I feel like Black Myth: Wukong in my opinion is definitely worthy enough to be GOTY the gameplay is incredible story, the story perfect and the fights are awesome
I'm taiwanese. One thing non-chinese speaking players might not realize is how deeply Buddhism and Taoism is weaved into the story. I didn't expect the developers to pay any attention to the philosophy of journey to the west. The english translation is good, but it's very hard to translate the subtle cultural and philosophical aspects.
Taiwan is an island, it belongs to the "Republic of China". We speak the same language as "people's Republic of China". We are not close to Japan. Japan actually killed many people in Taiwan
Easily GOTY. Best game since Ghost of Tsushima. Yin Tiger and Tiger Vanguard hardest bosses for me. (Yes, I finished the game.) Excellent work on the video, BTW.
Same with me. Had a bit more trouble with yellow loong though, but I get so confused when people talk about yellow wind sage being harder than vanguard
I'm glad so many people got a lot out of this game and considering how linear it is I've been surprised with how different my experience has been to other players, especially in terms of the which bosses stumped players. Saying the sidequests aren't truly memorable while showing the ch.3 fox quest is wild to me though, I was straight up in tears from that one. Didn't expect to meet the fox from the stop motion animation as a murdered and skinned scarf, and then the absolute denial and shamelessness when you confront the killer on their behalf made me feel so deeply. Hilariously that quest made my ch.3 very odd, when I got the fox brush and was asked to seek out some temple I just ran past enemies as the fox to try and find the next part of the quest and ended up accidentally triggering the final boss fight, then made it all the way to the checkpoint without dying so I basically skipped like 50% of the level and went back into it after knowing the story and it changed my interpretation of parts of it. Very cool. Ch 2 & 3 were my faves but there's plenty to love in the others
If you thought your first play through was hard? Just wait until you get to game plus 4. The boss and enemy hit a bit hard and can one or two shot you. So if you want a better challenge, get to new game plus 4. Boss have more health bar and now you must focus on a good build.
It would really surprise me if it wins, because the award is rigged by activists. The people who decide what game wins are not interested in Black Myth Wukong winning. Because the character isn't gay without any option to give him him pink and blue hair or change his gender. That is sadly the world we live in right now.
What game would you nominate for GOTY? 🤔
This. Space Marine is great, but not on the same level, and Hade's 2 is high up there for me but still very much in beta

As a game its pretty standard, but as a whole package if entertainment its amazing.

I thought Taiwanese weren’t Chinese? Aren’t you guys closer to Japanese than Chinese?
I didn't enjoy the story on English. It was so weird

Bro can’t even give fellow Asians credit
@@MarkMiller304 you should go back to school and learn history again.
And stop reading western media propaganda

Erlang was the hardest boss 1st playthrough. On NG+ and beyond the hardest boss to me was great sage’s broken shell.
Dawg you are finally back 💀🙏🏾
Got lost while grocery shopping 💀 my fault
Bros back with no milk 😭 amazing editing
Damn…I really forgot the milk…lemme go get it real quick 💀
Insert that home llander gif here

For real. I’m on NG+4 right now. It’s been challenging.
Was better than I expected, I thought it's gonna be another Stellar Blade, overhyped and bland as shit.
6:33 It looks even better on the PS5 Pro.
Bro dropped $700 for a console 😭

hell nah ur tripping
@jam2394 look it up, it already got exposed how the numbers got manipulated by ign
@@jam2394 Just look it up the numbers don't add up. IGN manipulated the poll deleting votes until Wukong was out.

I’m asking before watching but have you played lies of P? I like it more than FromSoft games lol and think you’d like it too
I havent, but I’ve always heard great things about it! How would you describe the gameplay/story?
