    I never cease to be amazed that you can run these trains on series 3 track with no stalling on points !! 👍

      Good morning Cameron, glad you enjoyed the video, definitely having some fun running items on the railway, if I can ever get tidied up enough, I'll try and do some more interesting items out.
      All the best.

    Again I'm impressed by your use of the 3D printer. Excellent work on the elevated section, and models running very well indeed.
    After purchasing another older Triang loco (a lovely blue and yellow TC double-ended diesel!), I've decided to have a go with Super 4 track, and had a parcel of the stuff thrown over my fence yesterday (I'm loving our new Evri postman!). The track survived its drop, and is in excellent condition for its age. To be honest, much of it is in better condition than the more modern track I have been using! I've sorted though and should have more than enough for an inner and outer oval, and a few points too!
    Anyhow, thank you for this morning's viewing - looking forward to more progress reports soon👍🏻

    • @oscarpaisley
      @oscarpaisley  Год назад

      Hi, that sounds quite exciting getting a bit of Super 4 on the go, it will be great to hear how you get on with it.
      I try and avoid Evri! here they just put a card through the door, saying you weren't in! I've been in when deliveries are supposed to arrive, I'm convinced they don't knock or press the doorbell.. I'm sure I will read somewhere that Amazon were investigating the practicalities of using airborne drones for deliveries! The very thought of it conjures up quite bizarre images in my mind..
      Thanks again take care.

    Good morning Oscar, nice to see the elevated section in use, when the station gets built up there the trains are going to look fantastic. Progress indeed Oscar. That Britannia locomotive is a nice engine it runs beautifully and i like watching the connecting rods moving a real look of smooth power. Great start to Sunday, thanks for taking the time to post these videos, take care Eddy xx

      Good morning Eddy, I think you're right the station is gonna look quite splendid sitting up there. The Britannia locomotive is such a wonderful item, such a powerful looking model locomotive. Thanks again for watching. Hope you enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
      Take care.

    Lovely to see these old ladies Running as Smoothly as they do 🙌🏻. I’m glad it’s not just me falling over boxes and Wires 😊 I’ve had a tidy up last week and everything is put away nice n tidy and the workbench is clear (almost!😜), but of course, you all guessed it, I can’t find anything when I want it 😂 - Gr8 progress Oscar, we can tell that you Love it! - Happy Modelling 👍🏻🙏🏻✨

      It's a good idea in theory tidying up! However I've put down tools, torches and multimeters when I'm working underneath the railway and get distracted by something else and go back to what I was doing, the items I was just using minutes ago seem to have completely vanished and quite frequently don't turn up for days..
      All good fun.

    The usual great start to Sunday. Glad to be back on track with the routine. That Britannia took to the elevated section really well.very impressive. I was a little concerned about the coaches going round those curves up there but I shouldn’t have been. Thanks for sharing Oscar. Always a pleasure to watch. Roy.

    Fascinating layout and good to see the Triang 1960s track and accessories being used as intended on a decent size layout. If only Hornby c2020s could bring back the manufacturing to Britain as it was in the days at Margate?

    Always a good start to a Sunday morning. Fascinating to see how much quieter the early Triang with solid wheels runs in comparison to the later locomotives with steel wheels and Magnadhesion.

    Great to see some action on the elevated section and adds a whole new dimension to the layout.
    A tenth of a volt is not much but I suppose you need to take into account different engines, age and load, another feed might not go amiss.
    Interesting how the thought process evolves and you came up with the angled slot to stabilise the track shoes on the elevated section, all good stuff 👍

    • @oscarpaisley
      @oscarpaisley  Год назад

      Thanks again Gordon I think it's going to be good fun the elevators bits. The extra feed will take away the pressure on those little connection tabs on the 2 points which is all that is supplying the power, bound to become a bit wobbly at some point. I've definitely refined the way I've supported the elevated track round the railway! I may go back and modify a few of the earlier pieces.. Always something extra to do!
      Take care.

    Great videos - only just discovered them. Brilliant layout. Did I hear correctly that you made all the parts of these wider elevated piers yourself or just the small parts the line is actually sitting on? I've only recently got back into Tri-ang after a fifty-odd year gap and just setting up a layout. Nothing on the scale of yours but I would like to build an elevated section. If you bought those 'wider span' piers would you let me know where you got them please? Thanks again - dave

A cup of tea and a toasted tea cake and your latest video, what more could anyone ask for. It's a credit to you Oscar, well done. Keep safe Oscar . 🙂👍. 🚂🚃🚃🚃

      @@oscarpaisley Hello Oscar, thank you for your reply. I was just wondering, with the new high level track, are you thinking of building a high level station to match the high level track. I think it would be a great idea and I think it would add another interesting feature to an all ready very interesting layout. The good thing about having your own layout is that you can run all your own railway stock as you want. It's your own railway world. If someone wants to build a layout based on a particular time in history so be it. But your layout is the perfect layout. Look at all the historical buildings, rolling stock and track you have, truly amazing. First class Sir. 👍 I am having a cup of tea, but sadly no tea cake today, having a kit kat instead. Keep safe Oscar and looking forward to your video this coming Sunday. 🙂👍. 🚂🚃🚃🚃

    "Squeaky floorboards"😉 As every dad said, stood in the middle of a field😕 Never gets old😁
    "jump over the railway" at your age😱 Sweeping brush "pole vaulting"😏 Not that you can get much of a run up😁
    A green lattice foot bridge, 🤔
    Sunday morning sillies🤷‍♂ / Childhood memories😂👍
    Definitely going to have a go at the 'OP MKI, Train set, for the use of, Relay boards'👏👏👍👍

    Hi Oscar, I have a question that has been bugging me for decades. Why on earth did Hornby Dublo opt for a 3-rail system? So far as I can see, the only advantage of it is the ability to have reversing loops without shorting out the electrics. Other than that, it just seems to be more complex than 2-rail, as well as less realistic.

    • @oscarpaisley
      @oscarpaisley  Год назад

      Hi Roger, thanks again, I'm not sure why they went down to 3 Rail rout, the O gauge electric what is three Rail to start with maybe it was a hangover from that, or just simpler/cost effective in manufacturing terms at the time.

      Hi Nigel, I use a Hornby Railways Rolling Road R 8211 also a blue foam cradle which I got from an independent trader at a model railway show a long time ago. I believe it's the same type of foam used in the UPVC widow trade for the safe packaging of various elements of replacement windows.
      Thanks for watching.

    You could make some decent money from selling an elevated / incline 3D printed system for OO.
    I would certainly buy an up and down system from you along with versus piers etc..
    I'm still surprised that the "big hitters" in the industry don't make this kind of thing other than some simple inclines that don't work very well.
