Jim....Humphrey, do you see it as part of your job to help ministers make fools of themselves ? Sir Humphrey...Well I've never met a minister who needed any help..I was in stitches,so true even today.Great comedy writing by Antony Jay and Jonathan Lynn and great acting by Paul,Nigel and Derek RIP
References to Jim'll fix it has aged like a great vintage of bovine juice. The greatest material of BBC and its vilest past secrets, touched upon in one clip.
What a shame Paul never got a Bafta for Hacker … what that man can do with subtle changes of facial expressions is beyond genius … example excellence: “A reeeeeal frieeeend” … smirk + gleam in the eyes and shining reflection on his fangs 😂 (the Christmas special episode)
Thanks, Humphrey, the video about Yes Minister and it's sequel Yes Prime Minister (which was marvelous and prophetic comedy series satirizing the workings of Government in the UK) is a pleasure to watch. To hear Jonathon Lynn and Anthony Jay talk about their meeting to create one of the most well-written comedies ever.
@@JobiWan144 I have come to the rescue - here is the full episode from an international website. Heaven knows if it will work for you, but have a try and let me know okay? www.bilibili.com/video/av2488099/
As an American who only knows these people and shows thanks to PBS, I'm always amazed at how actors keep popping up - as if there's only a small pool of them to draw from. So I find myself keeping track of whose in what and making...well, "comedy connections"! I'm happy to see there's an actual program that takes the same delight in such trivia! Thanks for posting this and I will have to check out the rest.
I just don't understand why the BBC don't release this on DVD - fans love these shows and they'd actually make money out of it - they released the Red Dwarf Comedy connections on the series VII DVD - I realise that box sets like Yes Minister and the Good life etc have already been released, but just release a comedy/drama connections set

Derek Fowld's voice has not aged a day...
Toffee-nosed and caramel-voiced. What a sweet guy.
Jim hacker may have been an unlikely Prime Minister back then when the show was made. But, now we got the Real Deal with Boris Johnson LOL
Life imitates art!
I think that the episode with THE KEY -- is timeless YPM series 1.
.... and the MI5 Files in PARTY GAMES......
But Jim Hacker was much nicer and not a serial adulator
Hacker had far more integrity than #BorisViralManslaughter
Like Hacker Johnson is also a formed journalist.

even britains parliament meetings sittings are funny...rowan atkinson put it right: he said comedy is in the DNA of the british...so true.
absolutely hilarious just as relevant in 2022
Absolutely brilliant, thank you for sharing Sir Humphrey :)
Seems with all great programmes, the BBC have blocked part 2, but allow parts 1 and 3 just to wind up everyone who wants to watch this show.
I have the entire DVD collection.
Can anyone find part 2 anywhere online? I haven't so far

@@johnking5174 Thank you, kind Sir! I wonder if the BBC has bowed to Government pressure after all...
They were the best script writers of all time

What a shame part two isn't available
What happened to Part 2?
ruclips.net/video/Arc-zyK6r5o/видео.html not sure if this is the part your looking for but its funny anyway

The frost report was the starting of this - Anthony met John

Well, they did, what do you think how this old material keeps popping up on yt again and again ? Not sure, if they still do though...
6:29: NAILS IT!
Spendid collaboration.
Indeed.
How could Paul Eddington turn this down, the daft git?!
1:31 The Gaurdian is a great newspaper.
Bloody typical.
Ironically, I doubt the BeeB would authorize any of those comedies shown in the introduction today. They're much to PC these days.
