Can do it without needing to create a rectangle and manipulating its position and size: 1. Create a new layer 2. Select the white phone background with a selection tool 3. Fill new layer and convert to smart object 4. Whilst still selected add layer mask to new layer 5. Edit smart object and add your image
This is also another great technique! The reason I prefer to keep the display's mask outside of the smart object is so that when I export designs from Adobe XD, they do not include the rounded corners of the display, notch etc - so the artwork can simply be replaced without needing to re-mask, and entering the dimensions for the artwork upfront helps me to ensure everything is sized correctly and not distorted when mocking up the design on to the display 👍
Thanks Steve! You can actually open certain video formats directly in Photoshop, and then go to File -> Export to render out as a video, or export as an animated gif 👍
Mr. Dansky I don't know if this is too much but can you show us how to make the picture before you add it on the phone mockup ? I'm just asking bcs I am a beginner at graphic design and I am confused. Thank you Mr. Dansky and stay safe
Thanks for this quick and easy-to-follow tutorial. But how do I go back into the object and modify the selection after I've committed to the selection? My edges came out sharp at the top and I want to soften them more but can't figure out how to go back and change the selection once I've committed it.
and what to do if the phone is rotating. and it's at an angle. The image frame will no longer be 375x812, but for example 465x620. how then to act in such cases? I can't adapt the design to the size of the layout
way too fast for non-experts, try 4 minutes to get more views, 5 minutes and people might not call it rubbish, have to slow it right down and listen to you talking like you're drunk instead
Short, clear and straight to the point! Thank you!

Great video, clear, concise and short! Any tips or videos on doing the same thing but with a video clip of a prototype?
Thanks Steve! You can actually open certain video formats directly in Photoshop, and then go to File -> Export to render out as a video, or export as an animated gif 👍

Love the process behind this, well explained, can we have a video prototype in mockup as well?
Thank you so much
Short and sweet!
This is awesome. I would love to see this process but on a curved surface like a soda can
Good idea Austin! I'd likely use Edit --> Transform --> Warp to map a design to a curved surface 👍
Dope!

Nise
Fingers shadow?
You may get a very slight shadow, however the light being emitted from the screen makes this either much less, or not at all visible.
❤️👍
Not helping sir its too short video
