i feel like my child could get a job at google or apple right now. he is only in 11th grade but he is taking CS 479 (AI and pattern) at the University of Nevada. He competes in cybersecurity competitions as well. He just finished top 100 over the weekend at NCL (national cyber security league) out of 6,000 college and high school competitors. He already took all the necessary math courses already (cal I, II, III, differential equations, and linear algrebra). Java, C++, phyton, he already masters that in 9th grade. he is talking about competing at DEFCON las vegas against the cybersecurity working professionals. NCL looks like a kid's play.
@@Philgob really? is cybersecurity that much of a waste of a focus in college compared to computer science? (I want to intern for cyber and major in Comp Sci next year)
@@lilnilu cybersecurity is a sub field of CS and it’s a great field but if that person’s son is truly exceptional I advised to go for fields where the sun shines the brightest for the top of the top

Probably mainly Waterloo and Toronto, but UBC has pretty good industry placement too.
