Glad to find your new home Ian!! This video shows a great model of feel vs real at the end and how to work someone else’s feel into your own real swing
Such a timely video Ian. I too get the hands inside very quick from the takeaway. I was taught back in the late 80's to keep that glove under my right arm pit and to rotate around that - interesting to hear the opposite in todays game. That one thought of keeping the hands outside longer, is one I'll take the long Calgary winter to focus on.
Congrats Ian, excited to see this next chapter in your journey. Put this into practice this morning after watching last night, incredibly helpful. Thank you man
Brilliant Ian! So happy to be one of the first 5,000 subscribers. Longtime TXG follower, fell off during CC takeover but just today watched your CC review of Tour Edge C725 driver and the last live Q and A on CC with Mikey. I am stoked with the formula of your new adventure in golf. I can tell it is a very thorough and well thought out plan of action covering all aspects of a golf and life improvement journey. This coupled with Larry Cheung kickstarting his channel is already inspiring me to do indoor work this winter to shock my playing mates next spring. Love Coach Ralph’s observations and explanations. I hope he continues to grace the content. My new mantra lately has been Tiny Consistent Habits Create Success. Watching your content will be one of my habits moving forward. Keep calm and watch Ian. Best wishes to you and Tracey.
Great video on your new channel! I have always wondered where my hands should be during my swing, swing thought of trying to control the face often lead to a looping swing and pull hook..thank you for giving me a drill to work on.
Super helpful video. Great reminder to have a check-in on fundamentals during this time of year. It raises confidence to have the fundamentals reinforced rather than thinking that the entire enterprise is falling apart. Congrats on kicking off the new channel.
Echoing others here, congratulations on this move forward and happy to have found your new channel. Love this first content; presentation was easily understandable and clearly presented. The checkpoint and drill not only perfectly fit what I’m working on they fill in a missing point to check during my swing drills. Thanks and congrats once again.
Congrats on the new channel Ian! Great video. Paused it halfway through to check my own swing. Love the short and direct instruction. I’ll be working on this all week now.
Ralph -- "If you make changes the right way, they are not that hard", Ian -- "No they really aren't". Well, I can't wait and am looking to your new channel and especially these type of collaborations and content that mixes technology with the other pillars you describe. I have enjoyed a lot of your content in the past and I think this new channel is going to be fantastic.
Brilliant video. The checkpoint of hands centred to chest is something I haven't heard a lot of and will definitely be working on the drill. Inside takeaway is a big reason for my inconsistency.
Congrats & best wishes with your new venture Ian. Seasons greetings from sunny Scotland..winter tees, fairway mats & winter greens...I'm sure you remember it well|
Amazing how the knock down feeling lets you control your ball flight so much better. My coach literally just told me the same thing with similar results! Ps - Congrats on the new channel. Much success!
Jake and Elwood. Bert and Ernie. Han Solo and Chewbacca. Batman and Robin. Kirk and Spock. C3PO and R2D2. Simon and Garfunkel. Thelma and Louise. Maverick and Goose. Ian and Mikey. No matter what I’ll be a loyal subscriber, but please bring back your wingman.
Great video Ian. In the future maybe a video on not presenting enough loft at impact. I have a fairly shallow AOA but very low launch. I play traditional lofted irons and have decent spin because of high speed, but struggle getting the long iron in the air.
Hands in front, club in front and release along the swing arc to create whichever ball flight desired - once understood is the easiest way to hit the ball. What that coach has helped you with Ian is far better than trying to be shallow and release the way you was - it looked very labored.
Question for you. My hands stay pretty inside but i dont get across the line at the top. Should i change it? (Video link attached) ruclips.net/user/shortslRRFO-K_LcA?si=1yxX5CXh6DzqbPcc
Lots of good in your swing especially in your transition. Try and get the club face a little stronger. And try to stay taller in your backswing. You don’t want to lose that much hight in the backswing. I don’t mind seeing some lowering in transition as you use the ground for leverage.
It all depends on other match ups with the swing, a few have done it with decent success but it Rory’s case he struggled with face control and subsequently distance control.
Congrats on the new channel and endeavor, Ian!

Take a look at Sam Snead’s swing. Or Bobby Jones.’ And on and on. The old timers were far superior.
I will share a drill on the channel soon that helps so much with that.
Great to see you back on your own! Let's gooooo! ❤🔥

@@keenanvanzile couldn’t agree more with you. I’ve tried the shallowing route. It doesn’t work for me.
Hello lads
What make is the hoodie? That’s sweet
Is it Peter Millar
It from B Draddy Golf
Here we go :) You’ll still be reviewing clubs correct ?
No, we won’t be reviewing clubs.

What a load of rubbish…
Theres nothing wrong with across the line and coming down steep
