Hi Nina! It feels great to see your latest reaction video on Regine Velasquez. Been very busy these past months and I know I have a lot of catching to do in terms of watching your videos. I wish you a fantastic day as well.
Hi Nina. If you really want to be blown away & moved to tears, then PLEASE react to this INCREDIBLE video by 15yo Dutch girl, Emma Kok singing "Voila" in French, live in orchestral concert. Try not to cry. Emma has a terrible stomach disease but has a superb voice. You have to listen to the intro about her, then the song. It's gonna blow yr mind & touch yr heart. Most INSPIRATIONAL .... ruclips.net/video/KdIhq1tb8Co/видео.htmlsi=e6oqyD58aR4onRyO
Nina, I was in this concert. When she finished the song and the lights came back on, everybody was in tears. Man, woman, child. She was showing raw, haunting emotion because she was in sorrow and grief because her father-mentor had just died.
And yes, she’s also an actress here in the Philippines. In fact, she has won a “Best Actress Award” as well. She’s indeed a multimedia superstar. But recently, she’s been vocal that her priority is to do more and more singing. Tomorrow, she’ll be having a major concert titled “Regine Rocks.”
I think this particular performance was weeks after her dad passed away. The producers said she can reschedule the concert, but as u mightve guessed: The show must go on.
I am amazed how you were able to notice the voluntary silence from the audience. Filipinos are perhaps one of the rowdiest (some say the most undisciplined but I think it's more of cultural difference) audience and normally there were no crowd management in local concerts. The strength of Regine's voice lies not in her strong, metallic belts, but in her soft whispers that command silence from the rowdy Filipino crowd. I realized this in a concert where Lea Salonga performed. Lea had a Western-style of discipline in performing, and when she started singing, there were still people clapping and screaming. What she did was ask the crowd to be silent and then she sang the song from the start again. Regine has never done that in intimate performances. That's probably why she was the most appreciated singer in the country.
Please react to her performance of Streisand's Ne ME quitte Pas. I hope you can make some comparative analysis of Streisand's and her performance to see the similarities and difference of their styles ruclips.net/video/MugqSu6wlvY/видео.html
Sometimes words are just not enough to describe the beauty of a performance and it happens with a lot of Regine's performances. What an incredible performer she is with a vocal that goes from soothing a hurt child all the way to beating back an advancing army. I wish I'd been there for the live concert. I believe the pianist is the guy that does a lot of the arrangements for Regine, he certainly arranged 'What kind of fool am I' for her. I think ' A Piece of Sky', a Barbara Streisand classic from the movie 'Yentl', or Lady Gaga's 'I'll Never Love Again' from 'A Star is Born' where she sings through tears at the end. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
This performance was very emotional and personal to her at the same time because she was dedicating the song to her father who had passed just few weeks before the concert. Her father was the one who trained her to become a singer. And he had never missed any of her performances until that very day. This also shows how professional she is for pushing through with the concert and managing to finish this special song - her father’s favorite song.
Another Filipina singing goddess covered this song, the same areangement. She did a spectacular job as well. You might want to react to it, too. The name of the artist is Ayegee Paredes.
She sings the song, with the deliverance of her expressed emotion, able to capture audience attention along with her journey as she delivers the song. SHE SINGS THE SONG WITH PURE EMOTION AND THE AUDIENCE IS ABLE TO FEEL HER AND THAT SHE'S ABLE TO DELIVER A DYNAMIC SONG....
When you talked about that "imperfect" sustained note in the line "it's always there" and how she held the note but broke it (perhaps unintentionally) in the end, made the whole lyrics ironic but more meaningful and poignant: With him around, who could be lonely I reach for his hand, it's always there
Please ako react to Regine singing in Tagalog. Kailangan Kita is a wonderful piece of singing masterclass by her. Prepared to be blown away!!! KAILANGAN KITA by Regine Velasquez
Regine is so cool such a good belter she know how to tell a story Can you cheak pls sohyang million of roses on immortal song plsss I request this song 3 month ago pls pls. Much love from me❤ to our fav reacter
Thank you for doing this. I must have watched the original vid half a dozen times over time. Morisette amon may be the most popular singer in the Philippines right now, (arguably of course), but without a doubt, regine alongside Leah salonga, are the most respected. Once they totally retire, Mori will take their place. Good job. I'm a BIG FAN.
Coach- Mori released recently a live band performance at an outside venue with thousands of fans that blew me away. Ang Huling El Bimbo. It is phenomenal 🙏
It’s my natural way of reacting to analyse as I go - it’s not for everyone but I enjoy making my videos this way or else I’ll forget everything I’m seeing. Thanks for watching!
@@ninaschofieldi dont mind the pause. The way you react is not for everyone. If theyre distracted, they have the option to separately watch the performance video and enjoy. Your video is a reaction video anyway. Dont mind them. Haha
Wishing you all a fantastic day today 😊
Same to you as well ma’am Nina… 😊🙏❤️😘🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

I have a soft spot for Light of a million mornings and the Barry Manilow medley.
Her version of "A Piece of sky" is also incredible ❤

Her voice is so so delicate, yet, so so so powerful!

Definitely a cultural difference. Filipinos are also known to be a very hard audience to please--back then anyway.

I can't breath. Wow

So true! Her emotional delivery is always spot on in this respect 💕

Suggest you play the whole video first then do your analysis. Too many pauses, so you don’t really get to appreciate the performance in its entirety.

I appreciate this kind of reaction more especially when you point out your observation with every pause.
Way too many pauses.
Hmm. Didnt much like the many changes she did to the song.... Too far reaching. 😅
So much talking
