I do not like the original. Dave's version is just perfect.
Unfortunately John Denver's original has *not* aged well. lol The original is very dated in terms of style and arrangement and is *very* "60's" sounding. It's too bad because it's a great song but it definitely hasn't aged as well as a lot of other John Denver songs have over the years.
