  • After ditching the crappy Chinese knockoff cylinder I needed another. I picked an old stock cylinder on Ebay and the bore was fairly glazed. Time to learn and practice a new skill!

Nice little tutorial. The only thing I would recommend to stop the drill, decompress the tool and then remove it so it doesn’t fling out of there like that. And clean with soap and water until a white rag comes out clean

Yeah good tip, I was a little concerned with stopping the hone in the bore but realistically it probably wasn't going to mess up the crosshatch.

I like the stick hones way better then flex, I tried a 320 flex hone on my DT200 cylinder and I had to take the topend apart because the rings didnt seat, it dropped to 90psi after a couple kicks, it was likely to fine of grit but I can hone a cylinder mint with the stick hone medium grit

Will this work on a 2 stroke cylinder?

Only steel lined cylinders, it’ll destroy a nikasil plated cylinder.
