Can you lightly sandblast the dash b4 so u don’t have to sand it?

Saludos! Que tipo de pega puedo utilizar para tapizar el dash? Compré 3m 74 en spray y al calentar se derrite y no pega

The thickness foam is 1/4 of an inch. ( Headliners material) I use as a foam regular foam is perfect for this job too
