Out of 30 birds we've lost 10 so far. Ours are 2 weeks old tomorrow. Got them from Murray McMurray as well. Maybe with all the weird weather it was a bad or weak hatching. Getting 30 more sent to us in September. McMurray is also sending 10 extra chicks with that order to make up for the losses to this group. They really are a great company to work with.

The heat lamp bulbs, are they Teflon coated?
Also, Those lamp housings arn't rated for 250w. I've noticed spike temps in the same setup... got well over 100, and the chicks would just sit there and bake..
