We had an opportunity to go and see family for a weekend, but the cowboy couldn't make it.

♡ About our Family:
We are a Ranchin', Life Living', Grace Givin', Full out Lovin'- Kinda family. We enjoy being together, and doing life together. Our kids were born within 5.5 years of each other, so they are a tight knit crew, and we are always fixing a problem, laughing at their comedy acts, breaking up a fight, or holding a couple of them in our arms.
Our oldest and youngest daughters were born with a rare Genetic disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA type 2). This is a progressive muscle weakening disease similar to the onset and progression of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). When we first heard the diagnosis- we were told to make the most with what we had, because they were not promised tomorrow....
So- this is us, living life full out- while we have it to live. Big things are possible... you just have to figure out a way to make them happen.

I’m having some health issues with my joints, but we had a family trip planned for New York City. This ruclips.net/user/postUgkxuxJwamLFanm476LC5WPeTouyyU1GXomC was perfect! It’s lightweight enough that my friend could carry it up or down stairs when we needed to. (I can walk very short distances) It was comfortable for me to sit in, I would say if you’re super tall it might be a little cramped. I’m 5’1” and the foot rests were the perfect height. This may not be the best one for long term use, you get what you pay for, but for something that fits our budget that gives me accessibility while we deal with my health this was amazing.

Awe so cute! I was so happy to see this because it made my day. I’ve been in a wheelchair all my life. It definitely isn’t easy traveling with just me alone cause the chair is often to much space or putting together. I hope you guys are doing great!!

All I have to say is you and your family are amazing! I have a 15-year-old and one wheelchair and his little Chihuahua and I have been wanting to road trip for the longest time and you gave me not only the courage to do it but the incentive and I feel that I can do it now thank you so much be safe out there and most of all have fun.

I love how your kids are so helpful! I know a lot of people who grew up with one or more of their siblings having different medical needs; it's definitely not easy sometimes.
Yes they are!! We have tried to raise them with the mind set of, "see a need, fill a need..." It all takes a TON of work- but totally worth it in the end.

Hi, I work with kids & there parents at a childcare center in CO and promote the safely of kids & car seats for there safety while riding in the car with there parents or friends. They do make car seats bigger for your kids in wheelchairs. I have a 12 yr old niece who is still sits in a diono booster car seat & a 9 yr old who sits in a car seat with straps still, they both are special needs as well. FYI!

Cynthia may bunya if they need to use the restroom, then I take them in and help them. They have been in the wheelchairs their entire lives.

Special needs is such an outdated term that many of us in disabled community trying to move away from.
SMA which was mentioned above is also not a learning disability. Special needs is something used to describe those with learning disabilities.
