Thanks for your video . I have bought the insta 360 X3 and the insta remote device. I have also a Garmin Fenix 6X. And this is a good idea,to steer the insta 360 X3 with my Fenix.

Is it possible to directly transfer data from the watch to insta 360 without a remote control? Is it possible to connect Suunto and Insta 360 watches to transmit GPS data?
Using Garmin device to record data, you mentioned we have to connect the 360 cam to the phone app to sync the date, do we have to keep the app running in the background while we go about our adventure or we can close the app to save batteries because, you probably know by now, running the app and the 360 at the same time eats up that battery real fast. Secondly, in case I don't have a garmin device or I forgot it at home, can I use my phone & turn on Strava to record my ride, I mean, it's all FIT/GPX file the 360 studio or phone app extracts at the end of the day or I might be wrong?

Just bought action 4 from DJI. For me insta is too expensive for me yet.
But you're almost close on selling me the insta at 5:20 with bike option, especially with HRM using apple watch which I already have. 😂
GoPro used to have these features... GPS was/is built into the cameras... No need for additional accessories. There was a half decent windows software for it. But they killed it off. Perhaps it is still possible using the gopro quik app, not sure.
As far as I know, gopro removed the gps chip on hero 12
@@emin74 they were trying to improve battery life. 😂 So they remove features... Horrible. I'm still using my GoPro hero 7 black and am quite happy with it, not looking to switch to any newer GoPro.
Trying to sync the data from my garmin watch … it shows everything … except what I want , the gps coordinates !!

In relation to the Garmin. You mention the sequence is 1. Start a Garmin Activity, 2. Start 360 recording. Is this necessary? Is it possible to start the recording first then minutes later at the start line of a race, start the Garmin activity? In software afterwards, surely we merely point to the relevant Garmin activity to be used as the overlay. I haven't purchased a 360 yet, but it is this feature that has piqued my interest.

Yes!! they will refund you. I did also when I found out another link with the free motorcycle bundle and they refunded me the money within a day, then I ordered it with the free bundle. You won't regret it!

Apple Watch does not work with X4 yet
GPS coordinates cannot be displayed. In this way, it is not possible to identify where the recording took place. That's pretty lame for that kind of money...

Like all these influencer reviews, only show's the positives... For example the Garmin data can ONLY be used via the App (with all its limitations including export formats) and not via the desktop 'Studio' software. Just one of many drawbacks and what makes these devices interesting (I have an X3) but also frustrating and not reaching their potential.....

Insta360 has confirmed that if you add GPS to any 4k footage on the phone app you can only export in a maximum of 1080p which renders it pretty useless for content creators.
