The Staball line is made in the USA, the powders you are waiting for, e.g., Varget, H4350, are made in Australia. I'm going to make this stuff work even if it requires more effort as I want Hogdon to know I want more powder made here.
I do agree with production in the USA 100% and if that's what is available I will have to make it work but for me personally developing a new consistent load for my 7mag for example is a huge expense in time away from my family, gas, trying multiple bullets to see what it will like, different primers, ect. I don't have much time and now to do this for all my guns because I can't get retumbo, h4350, h1000, or even imr 4895 is soul crushing. This could take years for me. I love shooting and don't want all my time to have to be spent reinventing the wheel. It's something we are all dealing with just my point of view
It would be nice to get some h1000 from hodgdon. Whilst the staball HD seems interesting so many of us reloaders have pet loads already developed for existing powders in their lineups.
Agreed, make the regular stuff available again before anything new

Let’s make some retumbo first
Absolutely
@@billgauger3898 go tell ask an Aussie for some, as thats where Retumbo comes from (ADI 2225). I want this stuff as its made here in the States.
@@Abeene You talk like a Aussie
Whats the burn rate??
Reliable source says that retumbo is basically a thing of the past since it's made overseas. HD is being viewed as a "replacement" for Retumbo.
Excellent
Getting low velocities from the HD and using exact as the hodgdon data. Same brass primer bullet col barrel length
More powders? What about primers
It would be great to see a side-by-side comparison between Reloder 26 and StaBall HD.
Picked up some Staball HD, Lower Velocity and using more powder than Retumbo, will keep playing with powder weights, will get it figured out.
He talked a lot about game accuracy but not one word about the 1000 yard line. I like ball powder fine but I like X rings on the big range more.
Keep powders available. Heck, there's powders I love to use, but finding them....
I know the Winchester staball match isn't worth a shit!
