Great show guys! Yes it was sloppy, but it was good to hear Coach Nick acknowledge it. Also according to Dave Spadaro at Hurts was very upset about the interception! Good to her him taking responsibility. Lots to cleanup but I like what I saw.
Point well made a win is a win. As Geoff alluded to even as dynamic as Barkley is would hope to see a bit more of the other backs down the road. Special teams shout out to Elliott (going 2 of 2 FG's) & Mann (2 punts with over 50 yard average) with past issues with punters (remembering the Eagles recent SB appearance 🙄) nice to have the current dependability at both kicking positions. The Reddick holdout situation with the Jets is interesting especially with tonight's huge Monday night match up against the 49'ers. With continued questions with the Eagles pass rush, curious if a trade back would ever be possible 🤔. Best wishes to our host & all Eagles fans..
13 Carries is too many for Hurts imo as risking him to needless Hits, Eagles Need to use Gainwell a little more in the Run Game which I’m sure they’ll do as the Season progresses
There was no point last season, where their offense looked high powered. There were a few points Friday when they looked unstoppable. That’s a good sign to me. Just need to limit the mistakes
Jalen's plus is also his con. He will get his playmakers the ball but also ignore the TE & 3rd WR wide open to get his play makers the ball also. The Barkley passing TD the better option was wide open TE Goeddert 10 yards in front of him uncovered. On the AJ Brown interception in the end zone Johny Wilson was wide open right in front of AJ on the 2 yard line.
The Barkley td was schemed for Barkley to be the first read, and Hurts made the correct choice. He does have a tendency to force it to brown or Smith though, which needs to be corrected.
Sure, you've got to mix things up, scheme-wise. But I'm not exactly buying the, "You can't always use motion," line. McVay and Shannahan both pretty much do always use motion, and one of them has won a recent Super Bowl. It's not like the Eagles will always run the same plays out of motion (under Moore).
It's very simple id rather use motion all damn game then not use it at all and watch the offense we were forced to endure last year... Motion helps hurts see what defense there in and what matches he can exploit... It's useful use it
I’m worried about what Cousins can do with this anemic pass rush. Maybe it was an aberration..sure didn’t feel any different than last year with the rush.
@InsideTheBirds, yes, I agree. I re-watched the game again, trying to pick out details on what went wrong on the bad plays, lol. I'm a bit of a football junkie.
@@InsideTheBirdsvery much so. I can't wait to see what they start doing off of it. I have a feeling there will be big plays schemed up out of this package.
The main concern is Jurgens needing Becton to look back at Hurts and tap him to snap. Amateur. Inexcusable for a year 3 player who was drafted for this purpose.
I thought hurts did target Dotson but that pass was almost a pick 6 on the left sideline might be wrong though but great work guys glad for another season
This game reminded me of the opening game against the Lions in 22.

A couple of those he’s making the wrong reads as well by not handing it off and keeping it.
Unlike last year, I feel like they were in control of this close win 💯

Thanks for the content guys. GO BIRDS 🦅

Hurts has to get the ball to WR 3. Hurts is the point guard, get others in the flow. I thought they wasted that position the last two years.
Insideeeeeeee the birrddddds
We back baby football!!
Dotson had one target but it was almost a pick 6 by hurts throwing to the left sideline

Falcons have their own issues on offense.
@@InsideTheBirds I hope they still have them when TJ isn’t wrecking the game! Confident in the birds, though.
Nobody said anything about mailata touchdown saving tackle on that turnover
You did👌
It was Shipley who went in motion on the Barkley pass
* Barkley reception for the td
Notice how the defense reacted to Shipley on that one and others when he was in motion.

All 4 plays for Shipley, Barkley was in (21 personnel). Very interesting.
