There are lots of artists that should be mentioned way before the beatles, mj and ac/dc for the role they played in music history. Rachmaninoff for instance, but also more modern ones like run-d.m.c. Just because you’re a fan of the beatles and such, and they were popular in their time, don’t make them important to specifically music history. Maybe history in general, yes, but music-wise not so much. Most of their inovations were in rhythm and instrumentation more so than chord structure and melody. And don’t forget, he left out jazz completely ;)

They aren't "songs", they are "pieces" and many of these aren't as simple as you state. Although they may be easier in comparison to piano repertoire and the composers' other works, they are definitely not easy. It isn't just about being able to "play the right notes". On top of that whoever made this video, simplified the notes a WHOLE lot and I actually found it very annoying and took a lot out of the music, however for the sake of arranging everything and making the transitions into each piece nicer, it works I guess. Now, I do agree that in general it went from people who are great musicians to background music but the "talking really fast" comment was very ignorant and stupid. X is a terrible rapper though and a terrible example. Although the guy you replied to was ignorant, you are obviously not very knowledgeable on music either. "X" was great for young people as he slowly changed and strived to be a better person but that is it. He was a good idol. The main basis and beauty behind rap is the poetry and if the poetry isn't there, there is no beauty or much skill to it. You stated "X" had "good writing" which is one of the last things you would say that he did good from an OBJECTIVE standpoint. Where are all the mult syllable rhymes, unique flow, metaphors, alliteration, and countless other aspects of figurative language within his writing? Oh wait, there is barely any. Yes, producing can be skillful but only to a certain extent and even the best producers wouldn't even come close to compare to any great historical composer. I don't see where your comment is leading.

There are lots of artists that should be mentioned way before the beatles, mj and ac/dc for the role they played in music history. Rachmaninoff for instance, but also more modern ones like run-d.m.c. Just because you’re a fan of the beatles and such, and they were popular in their time, don’t make them important to specifically music history. Maybe history in general, yes, but music-wise not so much. Most of their inovations were in rhythm and instrumentation more so than chord structure and melody. And don’t forget, he left out jazz completely ;)

Baroque is a thing, neoclassicism from the 18th century is another thing, romanticism is different and then all the different "genres" between the end of the 19th century and the 2 world wars are indipendent as well. Most of the time people dismiss someone that says "i listen to classical music" with "only that?". It's just utter nonsense. It's like saying "I listen to pretty much every musical genres that came after the 50s" and respond with "mm, only that?"

yes, rappers like lil pump dont have talent, but a lot of modern rap songs have excellent production behind them. listen to some x to hear some good, experimental music production and amazing writing. also none of the classical pieces played in this video are difficult on any level, lol. maybe listen to some chopin or different mozart and beethoven pieces, but the popular pieces of the time are repetetive and use dumb writing techniques to fit more notes into the piece to make more money from the royalty that bought their music, hardly knowing anything more then elementary song writing was required. the middle was pretty good, but on the basis of piano music, thats not why they were revolutionary songs

They aren't "songs", they are "pieces" and many of these aren't as simple as you state. Although they may be easier in comparison to piano repertoire and the composers' other works, they are definitely not easy. It isn't just about being able to "play the right notes". On top of that whoever made this video, simplified the notes a WHOLE lot and I actually found it very annoying and took a lot out of the music, however for the sake of arranging everything and making the transitions into each piece nicer, it works I guess.
Now, I do agree that in general it went from people who are great musicians to background music but the "talking really fast" comment was very ignorant and stupid. X is a terrible rapper though and a terrible example. Although the guy you replied to was ignorant, you are obviously not very knowledgeable on music either. "X" was great for young people as he slowly changed and strived to be a better person but that is it. He was a good idol. The main basis and beauty behind rap is the poetry and if the poetry isn't there, there is no beauty or much skill to it. You stated "X" had "good writing" which is one of the last things you would say that he did good from an OBJECTIVE standpoint. Where are all the mult syllable rhymes, unique flow, metaphors, alliteration, and countless other aspects of figurative language within his writing? Oh wait, there is barely any. Yes, producing can be skillful but only to a certain extent and even the best producers wouldn't even come close to compare to any great historical composer. I don't see where your comment is leading.
