I’d say 4 is a bit too low. I’d say 5 or maybe a 6 because he did a horrible howler but Mark is right when he compares it to a striker scoring two but missing a hitter, a lesser keeper would’ve let in the other two balls, but giving him a seven means that he had a very good game, which he certainly didn’t. De Gea overall made dumb mistakes recently but he keeps balls out of the net that aside from a handful of keepers, no one active could stop. He’s not in as bad a form as people say he is, but he isn’t what once was. He’s on a good number of clean sheets and saves, so keeping down the mistakes is the only thing missing from his game right now.

Ancelotti is a brilliant tactican and changed it up in the 2nd half. No shame. Got to focus on the next game. Qualification is still up for grabs. I saw improvement today
There's a real blind spot about Wan Bissaka. Absolutely awful offensively - hesitant, panicky, far too many touches, no good crosses into the box. Played like a centre back playing like an emergency right back. 5/10 for me.
At this point if want to catch CFC we need to check to see if we have some fixtures where we play before they do! As it is, they've played before us nearly all the time and every time they stumble so do we.
People only like Ole when we are winning. It might not have worked perfectly, but we played well and it is nice to see not always the same tactics. Supporters should support not always giving criticism! Ole at the wheel!
I dont think this is a disaster for our top 4 campaign. Chelsea still have to play City and Liverpool I think while United play City and Tottenham. The Tottenham game is the game we need to win if we want top 4. We can't afford to fall behind a Mourinho lead Tottenham team without a striker. That'd just be embarrassing for everyone.
Bruno gives the ball away, media praises him for taking risks. Pogba gives the ball away, media criticizes for trying 'Hollywood balls', being sloppy in possession and not trying.
Disappointing all round. Bruno was the shining light of that performance, and this game is just proof that Ole needs backing in the transfer window. I don't think we've done nearly enough to deserve a place in the Champions League. I hope the revenue takes a massive hit, so Ed Woodward can eat his words. “Playing performance doesn’t really have a meaningful impact on what we can do on the commercial side of the business.” Also, the FA need to have a look at their recruitment as well. Some of the referees this season have been absolutely disgraceful.
I think that expecting United to get top 4 is too much. We don't have much creativity in the team, and we don't have Rashford. I think our defense might be the saving grace if Bruno can brute force his way past the worse premier league teams.
We beat Tottenham away last season with split strikers, worked a treat and we won 1 0. You sang their praises. Without DDG mistake it happens again today.
Come on, what formation are we meant to play when we don't have any wingers? Everyone knows man utd lack creativity, you cannot improve a players creativity, either they are creative players or they're not, not every points we drop is Ole's fault all the time, De Gea messed it up
It was a good match anyway. We had no width though. Four central midfielders is greedy. Bringing Mata on made no sense, should have brought in Dan James since they were pressuring all second half and we could have exploited on the counter. Fred was poor for a change. AWB barely got a tackle in, I thought it was one of his worst games of the season. Matic didn't make a single mistake, absolute masterclass, deserved a 10.
Do you think De Gea’s lack of form over the past few months (he’s been good and brilliant in moments but not consistently the De Gea we know) is down to/related to Emilio Alvarez leaving in September?
I know Martial scores brilliant goal but his movement is not good as a proper striker. A proper strike should've a good movement in front of the goal which Martial doesn't have.
De Gea threw one in don't forget, and goodison has always been a hard place to go. Plans go out of the window when your goalkeeper throws one in , in the 3rd minute, chill
Mark I’ve been saying this all season . We win games by courtesy of individual brilliance and nothing at all. The coaching is awful. If the coaching was on point , we would have won the games hands down during the second half. Look at how the tactics made Martial and Greenwood useless. Any decent manager could do something with our squad . Our squad isn’t good enough but it’s not that bad as well. We should have won this game . Clueless manager leads team to a stagnant position that’s why we can’t move pass Chelsea no matter how many times they’ve slipped. United should line up a decent manager and allow him to rebuild. Sir Alex was given time cos his CV guaranteed it . I love Ole but he’s sinking United so he needs to be shown the door
This falls on the manager. Once again, Ole has revealed himself as being a bang-average manager. Also, once again, not playing Jesse Lingard has bit Uniterd in the arse. His Iniesta-like ability to unlock stubborn defences is truly world-class - especially when he is wearing his black woollen mittens.
Imagine if we had a competent manager and coaches then we would be in 3rd by now with a gap. I never flip flopped , was never Ole in , so I'm Ole out not on today but judging him on performance since December 2018 , he is just not good enough to manage at this level , Carrick and McKenna are not good enough yet to be our coaches, need experience and for them to work under experienced coaches . I hate not wanting to get top 4 because I want us to win every game, but if we get top 4 we will keep Ole and I can't take another season like this so I hope we miss top 4 and Woodward gets fired too.
You’re telling me the formation wasn’t effective the 1st half? Look how the game started ... martial was in his favorite attacking position and matic was tremendous cause Fred and Scott forward pulled pressure off him
Emir Deljanin you basically answered your own question here, why change something that was working ? That should show you the level of coach we have mate.
Everton played very well let's not try and make it as if Utd were bad, they did ok in the first half but full marks to Everton they were absolutely brilliant. A point is still good, let's stay positive

So Mr Mark has joined the "Lindelof´s fault" movement too now. Maguire should really deliver more in the centerback team. Maguire get support from Lindelof but Maguire fail in that too much.

Dan James being injured meant that Ole did not want to play three up front. If he wanted to play three up front Chong, AndreasP, Lingard or Mata on LW.
I wouldn't read a lot into points totals. Obviously Man U are heading for a low one by their standards, but points totals are completely relative to the season in which they're won. The Man United treble winning side won the league with 79 points - a pitiful total when you look at the amount of points in recent years. There have been some seasons where that would get you 3rd or even 4th. Fergie's final title winning side (with Anderson, Cleverley, Jones, Smalling, Kagawa, Buttner) got 89, but that doesn't make them anywhere near a better side than the treble winning team. It depends on the balance of quality in the league at the time. It's less about the points and more about achieving your goals, and if Man U's goal is purely Champions League football then they're on track - especially if a 5th spot is going.
Only Pogba, Mata (his legs are old) and maybe Fred can oscilate at the samr frequency as Bruno. If Unitef does nor improve quality( good wingers) forget top 6 nexf season becaue Spurs, Chelsea anf Arsenal will improve.

How dare you disrespect ole like that.
Just be lucky you got a point this game, VAR saving your ass once again, this time it was a wrong decision!
I take it you are a Everton supporter
Christopher Osborne nope Liverpool, but I still feel bad for Everton
De gea was a 1 but the saves puts him up to 4 it a shocking mistake from a prem keeper I wouldn’t give him a 7 personally
Charlie he loses concentration I honestly think Henderson should be getting first team action next season
Mistake was a absolute joke but I gotta give it to him he did make some great save after
I’d say 4 is a bit too low.
I love Dave but yea
Y’all are being too harsh on David he made up for the mistake and some 7 is fair
so much for liVARpool, how many times is VAR going to save united?
If VAR helps United for the rest of the season, still wouldn't be half of the help it's given Livarpool this season.
John wigmore common mate too much salt.
@@j.3o21 VAR has helped Utd 5 times out of 5 in the two matches against LFC. You are basically making things up. Also Utd has had 10 penalties - more than anyone in the league and twice as much as LFC, who spend more time in the opponents penalty area, than Utd possess the ball.
Jannik Nielsen we have the fastest players in the league defenders tackle them in the penalty box so we get more pen stop hating if you don’t know how we work
Ole's got to go. Plain and simple
Come on Mark , give Ole some credit . We dominated Everton in the first half because we played a diamond in midfield . As soon as we switched to the 4-2-3-1 formation they started to dominate the midfield and dominate the game . I think ole did everything right to start the game with the diamond formation .
Jassin 19 If we switched to 4231, would he not be the one who switched the formation? Then that would mean he’s to blame even more for not being able to do anything about getting dominated
The amount of times de GEA has saved Utd, won player of the year, he should be given a medal just for staying at Utd, he's the best goalkeeper in the world, if he was at Liverpool i'd be saying the same!! We're lucky to have him considering the clubs form over the years.
Matic 100% man of the match
I was at the game today. Spot on Mark, second half was a disaster. Without Bruno we’d be terrible. Didn’t understand the subs and the notes Ole keeps passing around. I’m hoping Ole gets better, but with the set up, the notes we’re trying to read during our corners it’s just hope. Credit to our away fans for making the most noise at the park, but we should’ve won this game comfortably with the right tactics.
DAVID is the best goalie. Leave him alone, guys!
Mark I'll be honest with u mate...
What about the times where u hv mentioned that Ole is stubborn with the formation? Maybe his coaches didnt prepare them well sure... but he had the ruthlessness to change the formation in a big game against Everton... maybe u should chill out?
That's the thing with some utd fans. Opinions contradict each other from week to week because we're so desperate/frustrated with the results. The squad just isn't good enough. We havent got the right personnel to carry out different formations and systems. We've had van Gaal,Mourinho and now were screaming for poch?? Nothings gonna change if our managers dont get backed by the BOARD and bring in the players needed for their own style of play!!
All the teams above us and doing well have a style of play and a somewhat fixed formation, which shows their manager's footballing philosophy. Need i say more.

I was very happy with Maguire and Matic's performance.
Got to love Bruno Fernandes. We lack width hopefully Rashford gets back sooner rather than later. Can’t wait to see Pogba and Bruno together in the midfield.
Goldbridge is like the rick of managers. “He has no experience what’s his CV! He has To be atleast 60 to manage united!”
William Townsend Don’t think he’s ever said you need to be 60. He’s also right about the CV, he’s clearly not a good manager
You clearly don't watch Goldbridge because he wants Nagelsmann or Poch. Nagelsmann is half of 60 and Poch is not even 50
What is Mark talking about? Mata was brilliant when he came on created a brilliant chance. Matic was the best midfielder. You need to stop this childish agenda against older players.
RTL mata was brilliant?
Oh there you are, Ricky
RTL He gave matic a 9, what are you on about?
@@markporter3104 He did today, but Mark doesnt get you can't be like Fred and play quickly when nothing is on, and constantly lose the ball. It's better to be "slow" and composed than give the ball.away. Other than his goal I also thought Bruno was poor today.
Maguire was exceptional definitely a nine. Greenwood was invisible and should have been taken off much earlier.
In regards to who you play up front, you could have even played ighalo up front and martial on the left.
I actually think that's a good point for a very average team in red.
Can't blame ole. Cut out a 1 in a 1000 keeper mistake, and he wins. We played well today.
Can't criticise the Williams sub. You're right, we lost without VAR and so you can't blame Ole for trying to protect the point because clearly we needed to protect it.
I'm not sorry, but you can't put so much blame on Ole.
Ancelotti is a brilliant tactican and changed it up in the 2nd half. No shame. Got to focus on the next game. Qualification is still up for grabs. I saw improvement today

Matic 9, De Gea 7, I guess I was watching a different game
Wan Bissaka, Fred and De gea gets a 6 from me today ...
Nahh de gea gets a 4 for me for that stupid mistakes i hate him after this match i know he has done alot but come on what was he thinking.
punisher Jones Wouldn’t say hate, he literally saved as straight after and at the end aswell. If you should hate anyone, it should be ole.
Bissaka was not good today
Spot on analysis, Mark
Totally agree with you mark. A point isn't good enough. This was a great chance.
There's a real blind spot about Wan Bissaka. Absolutely awful offensively - hesitant, panicky, far too many touches, no good crosses into the box. Played like a centre back playing like an emergency right back. 5/10 for me.
Chris Fletcher he’s turbo-awful!
I don't know where you get your belief from Mark. You seem to keep forgetting we are crap, with a crap manager. I certainly didn't expect to win.
disjointed and pedestrian going forward, this has been a constant all season under this manager.
At this point if want to catch CFC we need to check to see if we have some fixtures where we play before they do! As it is, they've played before us nearly all the time and every time they stumble so do we.
One of the criticism Ole got when he was at Cardiff that he made lot of change even if the team didn't need it.
Spawney that was a 2 - 1 defeat.
People only like Ole when we are winning. It might not have worked perfectly, but we played well and it is nice to see not always the same tactics. Supporters should support not always giving criticism! Ole at the wheel!
Felt like we missed Andreas Pereira out there today 😂
I dont think this is a disaster for our top 4 campaign. Chelsea still have to play City and Liverpool I think while United play City and Tottenham. The Tottenham game is the game we need to win if we want top 4. We can't afford to fall behind a Mourinho lead Tottenham team without a striker. That'd just be embarrassing for everyone.
Mark idk why ur complaining about mata he created the chance for Fernandes + ighalo that should’ve won us the game
You have to admit 8 out of 10 VAR decisions go United’s way, but hey i aint complaining 😀
Bruno gives the ball away, media praises him for taking risks.
Pogba gives the ball away, media criticizes for trying 'Hollywood balls', being sloppy in possession and not trying.
Bruno could go to a big team next season 👀👀
Disappointing all round.
Bruno was the shining light of that performance, and this game is just proof that Ole needs backing in the transfer window.
I don't think we've done nearly enough to deserve a place in the Champions League.
I hope the revenue takes a massive hit, so Ed Woodward can eat his words.
“Playing performance doesn’t really have a meaningful impact on what we can do on the commercial side of the business.”
Also, the FA need to have a look at their recruitment as well. Some of the referees this season have been absolutely disgraceful.
Totally agree with you mark. I point isn't good enough. This was a great chance.
You win some you lose some
I think that expecting United to get top 4 is too much. We don't have much creativity in the team, and we don't have Rashford. I think our defense might be the saving grace if Bruno can brute force his way past the worse premier league teams.
Saw Mctominay going to make a challenge then left AWB to make it. Like he's saying that's not my job
De Gea has saved us.
Do you think De Gea’s lack of form over the past few months (he’s been good and brilliant in moments but not consistently the De Gea we know) is down to/related to Emilio Alvarez leaving in September?
we have gained a point over Leicester and retained parity with chelsea...yep a good weekend and an excellent point....
I know Martial scores brilliant goal but his movement is not good as a proper striker. A proper strike should've a good movement in front of the goal which Martial doesn't have.
And that's why Jimenez is quality. Wonder what our scouting system is doing
I wonder if Mike Phelan provides any sort of input in Ole's decisions.
we are Officially the new AC Milan .
""Mark our beat player VAR"" BRILLIANT ♥️♥️

Ole's lack of experience was ultimately what was to blame for today's tactical shambles
POCH IN, in summer
Hope is not a tactic 😂😂
I hope we get poch in the summer because our team will shine. Ole is making us average and we are not an average team
Liverpool beat them with the kids😂😂😂.
and they also got beat 3-0 by Watford with a full strength team so what's your point?
The team has to work and play as a unit just like teams like Wolves, Leicester, Sheffield, Crystal Palace, and even Everton, under guidance and planning of an experienced tactician and brilliant coach in order to survive and build the squad again...
So Mr Mark has joined the "Lindelof´s fault" movement too now. Maguire should really deliver more in the centerback team. Maguire get support from Lindelof but Maguire fail in that too much.
Svarthe Skaane Lindelof and Maguire ain’t a good partnership. They are both good individually but they don’t compliment each other well. Maguire/Bailly or Maguire/Tuanzebe would be better. Likewise Lindelof would be better with Bailly or Tuanzebe
@@paulokatamba4328 Agree with you the L&M center backteam doesn`t seems to work as good as we would like it to do. The question is why. The "everything is Lindlof`s fault" movement should really take a deep breath and actually take a look on what M do and more importantly don`t do in the centerdefender team.
The next three games will be hard for us. We lost a very good three points today. I hope Pogba gets back and we get more creativity help Bruno on the field
Dan James being injured meant that Ole did not want to play three up front. If he wanted to play three up front Chong, AndreasP, Lingard or Mata on LW.
Bruce Coetzee come on think of this martial on left Ighalo at the center mason on right
I wouldn't read a lot into points totals.
