I don’t know how to describe Ornette Coleman’s playing. It’s organized disorganization. It’s like he’s playing the wrong notes correctly. It gets to you emotionally.
+Mellosaxsexy I think you don't remember your first attempt to improvisation :) - and, forgive me, you probably had to change a bit your perspective in order to find the right way for listening to this music . that, to be honest, today is just as "classic" as Bird was in the 70s.
My background , just one word GREAT

Expressing my Thanksgiving Day wishes for Ornette Coleman's music. A master and magician who gave us beauty in sound.
Genius !!!
The violin and the trumpet are his secondary instruments. They are used for certain effects. He is primarily an altoist.
Lineup

+Athos Garcia Denardo COleman on drums, Tony Falanga on bass, Al McDowell on electric bass, Joshua Redman on tenor saxophone (very fine contribution)
I think that he is playing a metal alto painted white; in the beginning of his career he used to play a white plastic alto.
free jazz iz iz
freeing on Bach cello suites might be a little weird, but Ornette thinks otherwise _)
