This is honestly the exact akihabara video I've been looking for only problem is now I have 50+ more figures I want to buy 😂
😂🤣😂🤣
Completely Twisted I feel you
Yeah it was very well explained
same here XD
Same
Finally a good video, where you can actually see the figures. thank you !
one day i am going to go to akinhabara and i will use some
okay so adjusted wasn't for me you did your store on the part of those South with you so I got a chance to be today
tora it definetly worth it i went to japan and i wanna go back
I don't pretend to understand the anime behind these figures but the build quality looks great. And the bonus is that there's not the awful plague of Funko Pops anywhere to be seen!
I have some pops, but only ones that interest me. No superheroes.
Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen those here.
Trust me, there are Funko Pops even in Akihabara.
im a figurine collector but i have pops as well
Funk pops are shit - i don't understand anybody anymore.
I really enjoyed this video. It was really nice to see a fair bit of the stock which a lot of videos don't do. It was so nice to see Bleach and Fullmetal Alchemist figures they never appear in videos!
Wow Jim. I can look at those figure shops all day and will never get dull. Outstanding pieces of art being displayed on there windows and inside. Loving this bro. 8^)
Anthony..
My wallet is gonna cry when I go in May. lol XD
how’d it go?
senpaii 。 maybe she couldnt go because of corona..:/
Corona : let me introduce myself
M8 this was 1 year ago and ur saying she couldn't go because of corona lol
omg im going next may lol when everything will be actually open
damn man this was a treat. Thanks!!! really nice DBZ figures
If I went there I’d probably have a heart attack.
id be homeless
Bro same
I'm heading to Tokyo tomorrow, so this has got me in the mood for sure!
"I'm hungry and it's cold tonight....." Lot's of Maid Cafes in that area to help with that! lol! But seriously, thanks for pointing out where Tengoku (aka: Volks Hobby Paradise) is. And you had me smiling every time you showed a figure I have, which unfortunately for me, was almost every shot. Thank you for the vid!
Akihabara never gets old to me...When I visit one day I literally think I will go crazy from shopping all day looking/buying all types of amazing figures!
Me: * looks at wallet*
Wallet: "don't even think about it"
thanks! wonderful video! i can to see a lot of figures!
Nice tour Jim, your videos are a good substitute for going there lol
Of course nothing beat being really in Japan.
Cave music + Japan exploration is the perfect mix, I actually turned on some Dodonpachi music from my phone (with headphones of course) when I was there last year it was awesome.
going to tokyo in a few days, great video and thanks for the tips on stores! :D
Walking around videos can be some of the best, Jim, especially at night.
very good video thank you for showing lot of figures
Really nice collection of figures!
I really liked the Mandarake in Akiba, I think it was the top floor that had older figures and collectibles which is what I was looking for. Also Akiba Zone is easy to spend a couple hours in. I'd say those were the best places I went to.
Very cool video. I never really shopped for figures specifically while I was vacationing in Japan two years ago. The main reason of course was that I had limited spare room in my luggage. But figures are literally everywhere in Akiba like you said. I was surprised to see a small selection at Yodobashi and even a small section at Tokyu Hands. Nice music - Mushihimesama - I play that game during my lunch breaks!
Glad to see lots of monogatari and Railgun here and there..my favs
I wished I lived in Japan sooooo many figures and games I want from there and that you Jim for showing us this beautiful country and all it has to offer
My pleasure. :)
Lots of great figures!!
Thank you so much for this. Really the video I was hoping for thanks
6:22 Always nice to see some vintage Super Sentai commercials.
They really had some good stuff there when I went there last year . Man can't wait go bk there agin next year.
I needed a video like this ^^
take us to a thrift store / flea market / street market !! love the camera work . nice slow pans so I can actually see stuff ! thank you
There is some used stuff in here though if you are looking for that, like around 2:30, people can rent these boxes and put their stuff in, all of this is 2nd hand.
I love those Dragon Ball Z and Naruto figures. I want to buy some of them when I visit Japan one day!
pure epicness
Seeing that toradora figure made me so happy, over here it is rare to see figures like her and i dont know why all i ever see is sao and one peice figures and some naruto and dbz figures
Needs more robots 😄
Seriously though cool video Jim, the amount of figure shops there is insane. Would be great to see all the shops in Radio Kaikan and the Kotobukiya shop too. Mandarake has an excellent selection but it might be far too cramped in there to get good footage.
Looking forward to the next vid 👍
Yeah, I've shot in Mandarake before and it wasn't too comfortable.
😍🤤 make me so excited for going to akiba maybe someday....
your video was the best i have seen that shows the figures clear. I heard of a store called Mulan that has figures.
Loving ya channel m8!!! Its refreshing to see someone doing original content and not chasing the RUclips dream! :p In a sense I mean...I love my imports and shmups. I've found myself getting deeper n deeper into them. Atm I'm looking for anime shows or movies for noobs. I saw Akira at a young age and some anime since but I enjoy the Fire Emblem games and thought b nice to find a cool show to sink my teeth into. Looks like your enjoying it over there! Speak soon! Ps. I think I saw u recommend Magic Drop on Turbo Grafx and I played it to death last night, loved it!!!! :) Peace from Australia!!!!
Another good video jim. Can you do an updated video of video game stores in Shinjuku? I will be visiting in December, any advise what the family and I can expect during Christmas - must see's and what to do. Thanks.
Planning to do a game hunting vid in Shinjuku very soon, maybe this week.
Thank you, I'm going to Tokyo and Osaka very soon!
This is so cool!
3:55 I started crying when I saw menma 😭😭😭 I wish I could go there I’d be spending all my money 😂😂now I want like half of the figures you showed these are amazing 😍
11:07 YES! The mechs from Choujuu Sentai Liveman. Live Robo!
If I plan a vacation to Japan🇯🇵, Here below is my favorite Japanese toy :
1.Super Sentai (Power Rangers), especially the Megazord
2.Kamen Rider
3.Ultraman
4.Mecha just like Chogokin, Transformers, especially Gundam
Monster Hunter for me.
When I try to collect the whole series it was hard to get all so I had to tour all around to get it😂 And when I get the last one I felt really happy😆
Awesome.
Please show me around when I come to Japan in December!
Really digging the shmup OSTs on here.
Headed to Japan next week! Once I go there I am definitely going to try and get a Fullmetal Alchemist figurine! Such badass stuff all around though!
Great taste!!! I got an Edward Elric nendoroid from Japan not so long ago but I guess it really doesn't count 😅
How was Japan?
There's also a BookOff chain in the area if you want cheap secondhand books, comics, figurines and video games.
amazing video ,iam travelling soon to japan but some ports only like fukouka ,Hiroshima ,Nagasaki ,iam trying to look if I can find frieza figure first form ,and third form from hqdx old version
Great video!
GOING TO BOTH TOMORROW
You´re the man Jim!
More game shops in general. As for figure shops: Robot Robot in Akihabara Radio Kaikan and Golden Age Toys. And any others you know of that sell used figures. I'd love to see some Gashapon videos too.
Is this what heaven is like? I WANT TO SEE ALL THE FIGURE SHOPS!!!! Also all those Miku figures. I want them all! Also if you happen to come across any more Shimakaze from Kantai Collection figures. Please film them as well!
Can we get some comic statues as well . I was wondering do they indoor mails or outdoor mail ?
Just love japan i will visit it again this coking nov...
Fantastic video again Jim any chance you could do a video showing the Star Wars figures in Mandarake next time?
Can do.
I love japan
Great vid man, I need to go to Japan ASAP! Who tf is the one dislike lol
Hi:) ! Im planning on going to japan this year. Im after magical ojamajo doremi figures/keychains. Its quite an old anime and im kind of after the bootlegs as well. Do you by any chance know the anime or know where i could shop around for older bootleg anime figures or keychains? :)
Mandarake could be interesting figure and toy video. They have insane amount of stuff with wide variety of old and new.
really well done video
well gentoku figures were expensive
but the liberty figures were pretty cheap so many beautiful dbz figures for 1200 yen per peice
I am sold
Hey great video! I'd love to see something gunpla centric
KidShoryuken can you do some video around the best food/ramen you can have in Akihabara? I really appreciate your videos! I like Figma figures mostly because they can move at least. I have never been to Japan, but will do it sometime.
Yeah, I can do some food videos, something new for the channel.
Some of the figurines have good prices while others seem ridiculously overpriced. Would love to be there to compare. Thanks for sharing the experience with us.
tnx. its my dream to go there and shopping. lol
The amount of things to do in Tokyo is beyond human comprehension…
I'm definitely going to buy all of love live anime figures
Same-
i'm curious about those variety packs of figures... it wasn't there when i went to Akiba about 2-3 years ago maybe buy 1 to unbox it for your video?
That's a possibility.
How much luggage would I need jim? I think one for clothes and 2 empty big ones to fill up with games and figures right?
Yeah, that should just about do it.
Heard tate no yuusha in background music
Why are Japanese toy commercials so damn cool?
Seriously, these toy commercials kick so much ass!!!
When I head out to Japan between now and next year, my credit cards will never
speak to me again after my takeover of Akihabara!!
Ha! Ha!...............Thanks for sharing!!!
Is there a good place that sells arcade sticks and parts? The ones that are like rare and limited edition or madcatz since they went out of business?
Mak Japan in Akiba is a good shop for that type of thing.
Great vid KS. What about Transformers and R/C cars, preferably Tamiya.
My ears tingled when I heard Mushihimesama!
Do you go to Madarake? I’ve been only to the Osaka location. Didn’t know if there’s one in Tokyo.
Yes, there are several Mandarake locations in Tokyo.
Omg 5:56 Lum from urusei yatsura is actually there! But that's the only figure awww
Would love to see any shops that specialize in tokusatsu and kaiju stuff.
Check out Godzillaya
I can definitely look some up.
@@MadPanicGaming Awesome! I'm planning on being in Tokyo for Wrestle Kingdom 14. These videos are helpful! Also hoping to hit up some metal or punk shows while there.
I want that android 18 figure. But will wait to get it in Akihabara.
Do you have any modern collectors editions of games statues? Like the new jump force?
Nah, I have almost no figures at all, my apartment is too small to collect them.
where in akihabara is tengoku? i can't find it on google maps
Hey, dude. What's the background music you used for the footage of the first shop? Oh, and if you're taking shop requests, how about vintage toys (especially kaiju!) or records? :D
The first track is from stage 2 in Mushihime-sama Futari.
It's amazing that this video has 100,000 views, but the chanel only has 24k. But it's 24k Magic.
This is the kind of Akihibara video I’m looking for! No bullshit talk, just pure anime figure porn! Pure bliss! I’m so pumped for my Japan trip this July! Thanks bro!
sowut net I am going April hope you have fun on July tho.
KarlitoBurrito 2303 You too! Have lots of fun in Japan!
do they have the miia lamia monster musume figure?? that's my only question
What's the song that starts at 13:29 ?
Edit: I'd scroll down on the comments section and I think you already responded to someone else with DoDonPachi Resurrection. Seems like the song from Stage 5.
What's the music from 13.30 please ,it's so familiar but l cant quite get Total Recall so l need an answer, surely some bullet Hell shooter?
Thanks for these vids Jim ,from a long time subber. :)
It's from DoDonPachi Resurrection I think.
Love the old shit from the 80s and 90s.
Do many of these shops have animation cels for sale?
This is awesome thx man
am i reading the price right? for example. at 4:29 does it read as 19800 yen? if so im lucky I got it for $70. I use google to transfer it into us.
Not Many 18+ figures in the shops you visited from manufacturers like Native, Orchid Seed, Alphamax, Q-Six, etc. It would be cool if you could visit shops like Jungle, Mandarake, AmiAmi, Nippon-Yasan, HobbyLink Japan, Hobby Search which are the major shops that people that live overseas purchase figures from online.
them boa hancock figures
I enjoy anything honestly japan just a interesting place to me. Although i always wanted to see music stores in japan esspelly metal ones... since i did seen some youtuber talk about a shop that has loads of metal music cds that you can name.
Not sure about metal music, but there's a chain called Disk Union that specializes in used records/CDs.
If you happen to come across a vintage American style gashapon that is a mini model kit of mospeada macross, please let me know ! It's my first childhood toy.
btw so many astolfos... I love it
Holy shit Jim you're blowing up!
More than you senpai jk
Just call me C-4.
Would you say Tengoku has a good range of second hand figures? Or am I better off trying a Hard Off or Hobby Off? I´ll be looking for some inexpensive toys from series like Ultraman and Gegege no Kitaro.
Yep, tons of second hand figures, but Hobby Off is always a safe bet too.
I wouldnt mind seeing some Carls Jr. ha ha ha. Food related videos are cool, maybe some PC Engine stuff.
I've been considering throwing in something food related every once in a while, maybe every other week or something like that.
This is paradise, in fact Japan is a Paradise. It's kind of sad that our country isn't like this.
