Murphy's biggest crime last match was the amount of overlapping runners he ignored. It got to the point where the runners lost belief and so stopped trying and the opponents doubled up on Murphy instead of marking the runners because he never once laid them in. He made it easy for them to defend that side. If he'd just played the simple pass once it would've introduced some doubt in their minds but I can't remember one time where he didn't just use the runner so he could keep the ball longer only to do little with it anyway.
Mark watched football like a Sesame St character . Bruno was very good and let down by the players he gave the ball to on good positions. Chris is 100% right regarding Burn’s positioning for the goal.. however, Schar needs to be closer to Wellbeck as the ball bounces , I think he tried to anticipate the bounce and gets it badly wrong. Can we ever talk about Dan Burns lack of heading ability ? A giant who lets the ball hit his canister rather than properly head the ball .

The problem with the midfield is not personnel it's the way Eddie sets them up in a flat 3, so easy to play through.
