    Just after the 5 minute mark, I see you made comments about the grass catcher nylon bag versus the older plastic design, I see your point, but wanted to add I have used a Ryobi 36/40V mower for years now and can give you a helpful tip, when the catcher is getting a bit too dirty for your liking, rinse it off well with a hose, and toss it in the washing machine and hang to dry. I have been washing my nylon grass catchers for over a decade this way (12 years on my Honda and 7 years on my Ryobi) and they come out of the wash like brand new. No dirt or grass whatsoever. Line dry for about an hour (more than enough) as the material holds on to little water at all, and store again. Honestly it sounds harder than I've already made it out to be. Takes me less than 5 minutes and I just wash them out together along with some shop/car wash towels. Done.

    I have the model before this for roughly 2 years now. It was my first electric mower. I was impressed overall. I treat mine rather rough and the grass is usually very long. The first thing to go was the rear wheels because it's a plastic sleeve, not bearings. I'm still using the original set, but it flops around and won't last much longer.
    With longer grass, the eject chute doesn't flow very well, and often clogs. You can see it leaving debris and also revving higher even when you're not moving/mowing.
    I agree about the width of the handle and the clips on it. I'm always getting caught on trees and branches.
    Would probably buy again when it dies but I'd look at the self propelled model and some aftermarket wheels with bearings.

    I have one and yes it’s great. No complaints from me. I bought a second battery for mine and run two batteries instead of one.

    I’ve got the 18v 40cm mower. Cheaper than the 36v range. I use the 9ah and 6ah combined. More than enough power and enjoyable to use. Would never go back to petrol.

      It’s not bad looking for an electric lawnmower! Some look pretty odd and out of place, this one not so much.

    To use the lawnmower without the grass catcher, do you need to do anything other than simply not attach the grass catcher? Thank you!

    • @OmniGarage
      @OmniGarage  6 месяцев назад

      It will not work. Something has to be attached to activate the mower. Either the catcher of the mulching kit.

    Could you please do a test with the mulch plug instead of the bag. I can't find anything anywhere online on how well this machine mulches and if you could just run it without a bag if you just mow the lawn more often, like 2 times a week like you should with a mulch mower. :) Im hoping its able to cut so the grass isn't just lying on top of the lawn with the mulch plug :)

    Literally can’t figure out how to put the bag on it’s like it doesn’t fit at all like it’s way too small

    • @OmniGarage
      @OmniGarage  3 месяца назад

      The metal end fits into/ slots into a groove at the back where the grass comes out. The catcher has to fit into the groove for the mower to turn on.

    I’m curious to know if the lowest setting on the mower goes lower enough to scalp the lawn when it comes to Reno season?

    • @OmniGarage
      @OmniGarage  Год назад +1

      Probably not. This is the only mover I have so have to deal with it. Other mowers may go lower.

    How do you clean the blades, can you use the hose or will that stuff up the motor.

    How does this perform as a mulcher, without using the catcher?

    • @OmniGarage
      @OmniGarage  Год назад

      The mulching plug prevents the grass being feed into the catcher. Instead the grass is pushed down into the ground.

    The partruding handle parts could be on the inside, so they will not catch on fence posts etc. over all the machine looks very flimsy. What will it look like in ten years time?

    Don’t buy this lawn mower. The non standard level setter slips and drops, causing circle flat spots in your lawn, and dangerous for many reasons. After a few months I took mine back to the store and got a refund. If you are ok with a terrible mowing experience, then the convenience of standing it up against a wall is great. Ryobi replaced this model with a standard level setting mechanism which is….. ok. But it feels pretty horrible to mow… sluggish. Wouldn’t recommend.

    Plastic catchers are way better

    A higher end mower would prevent the problems you are having. This cheap chines machine is not the answer. It will not last long. You have seen this already.
