PNSO Triceratops Doyle Review. This is the 1/35 scale model. This is a great model by pnso. I have a couple tiny gripes with it but overall it’s a great model.
Nice review. Incredible how cheap the paint job is, compared to the prototype photographs. Possibly done very fast and cheap in some Chinese sweat shop by people who earn all too little money.
The earlier PNSO stuff the paint varied greatly from the prototype images. However there’s a version 2.0 out now of Doyle that more closely matches the prototype.
Well, it technically does have them, they're just too thin and don't extend all the way to the beak. They look more like the thin cheeks of a Theropod.
So, it’s not a Barbie. I prefer as scientifically accurate a representation as possible. Having a figure with a fully visible cloaca is doing justice to accuracy just as much as muscle structure or visible bone structure. The paint job on your triceratops sucks. The sculpt is great. I especially love the overall girth of the figure giving it a very healthy animal look. The price, though, currently, is pretty much, a true buzz kill. I might spring for one if it doesn’t have that crappy honeycomb paint job.
I love the pose of this Triceratops. It's very dynamic. 👌 The best Triceratops figure for now. 👍
This Model is very good, Pose, Shape, Colour and Base in particular. A little skinny Neck for the Head.

Can this model stand without base?
It’s does. There’s just a peg for the back leg so it stays secure on the base. It’s stands perfectly fine off the base.

The problem with the mouth is that it doesn't have cheeks :/ awesome figure otherwise.
