My grandfather--in true cowboy form--refused to leave his Colorado ranch home, where he lived on his own after his wife died and children moved away. It was the late 1950s/early 1960s. He often reported seeing lights in the sky over the ranch. Geologists who investigated said the phenomenon was being caused by natural gas being released from the land. From this documentary, I take it that the old "swamp gas" explanation was one frequently used by those hoping to hide the "other" possible explanation.
I have a girlfriend who comes from Baku...the symbol of her country is fire, because Azerbaijan was known from ancient times as a land where the land itself literally burns...its leaking natural gas, thats way beyond swamp gas. . So "swamp gas" is, I am sure is, a very real thing.

I met Bob Button a NASA liaison and a guest speaker at a Christmas party for a group of about a hundred pilots. Button gave a talk about his experiences with the early Mercury astronauts. He knew all the Mercury 7 men well. After his talk he took some questions from the audience. I asked him about Gordon Cooper and his UFO experiences. I asked Button about Cooper's stories about UFOs and whether Button believed Cooper. Button's comeback was: "Well, Cooper certainly believed them". He said that with a huge smile on his face.
It's amazing how swamp gasses can appear as metallic round and travel at mega mach speed across the whole visible sky in a second or two.

It won't be addressed by anyones' official Government agencies. Instead they will ask the public for it's answers to avoid any questions and as always these agencies will still deny what they know and have found out during the last 70 years of "obtaining and hiding" knowledge on the topic.

This presentation minimized the importance of this topic with the constant dance and rap music throughout the production. I'm surprised they didn't include the Village People and a disco ball. Are they purposefully undermining the topic with the head banging dance music?
My grandfather saw a cigar shaped UFO in 1919 in Mt Sterling, Ohio. He had the newspaper clipping in his scrap book. My dad, in 1965 was talking to my mom as we were driving by Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio when I was a kid. He pointed out a building and told her that's where the flying saucer and alien bodies were stored. My dad was in the army from 1945 to the early 1950s. I told him I wanted to see the flying saucer, he quickly changed the subject. I was driving home from work in 1997 and the Phoenix Lights flew right over my head by about 30 feet.
Could you see anything else or just the lights? Do you think it was a giant ship or smaller independent ships?
@@dbc2269 It had 6-8 lights as I recall. It was at least a mile wide and the left wing was about 30 feet over my head. It took up 75% of the sky from the angle I saw it. The nearest light was my focus, it looked like it was dripping lava from it, the light was an opening in the bottom of the craft. Lava like substance poured out of the tube and fell about 8 feet, stopped then dropped back UP into the tube. My focus was mostly on that substance, it looked hot and I was afraid I'd be burned, but there was no heat, no sound, no odor. As the craft came upon me it was a perfect boomerang shape. I see drawings of the V shaped craft, it was nothing like that as I watched it come towards and then over me. It reminded me of a 1950's boomerang ash tray a friend of mine used to have. The left wing tip was about 4 feet ahead of me and 30 feet above my head. I could see the wing tip, it was rounded horizontally and vertically. There were no seams, no rivets, it was like one piece of material. Inside the opening where the lava substance flowed, about 8 inches into the opening there was another ring of silver colored material. From that inner tube is where the lava flowed from and back into. As the lava dripped down it was Orange Crush orange, but it would fan out and turn yellow. Like an upside down lava lamp, but faster and the substance itself glowed. As it fell down it would slow and form like a big drip, stop and looked like it was falling UP, back into the tube where it poured out of. Amazing.
There was a street light near me shining down and the light reflected at the bottom of the craft, I could clearly see the skin of the craft. It was a slightly reflective grey color with thousands of thumbprint shaped indentations all over the bottom.

Cooper always maintained that he never watched the film, but that he held it up to the light and viewed a few frames of the motion picture.
In Cooper’s 1995 interview not only did he see the photos, he knew exactly where they were taken and by whom.
I knew this from interviews with Cooper. He didn't have time to watch the film before it was packed up and shipped off.

@@justsayupyours In the interview I saw, Cooper said he saw a few frames of it by holding the film up to the light, and he could tell it was good quality film, but he did not get the opportunity to watch the entire film.
@@justsayupyours I know it's only a small point but, Cooper, interviewed as an old man, said clearly he didn't watch the film or see any photos. He only held the film up to the light before it was dispatched.

Yes‼️ My amazing life's story includes SITTING DIRECTLY UNDER an enormous UFO ~ so large that it spanned the Santa Rosa Sound, Pensacola Beach, FL! We sat on our pier with most of the Sheriff's Deputies & watched as Navy FROGMEN swam around in the Sound! This ship produced 5 smaller, little ships that flew out over the Gulf! Neither my camera or my phone camera would work!!!! I was in the PERFECT PLACE AND POSITION TO TAKE A TON OF PHOTOS but "THEY" had other ideas & I still lament that fact! The ship left after a while & popped up several miles away on the other side of the Sound, in Pace, FL, according to the Deputies, that were watching with us! Their radios were going a mile a minute. Most left our pier but my neighbor & I stayed & hoped they would come back! This gentleman just mentioned "Gulf Breeze" & that's exactly where we saw this WONDERFUL ship! Gulf Breeze / Pensacola Beach are right in the middle of the Naval Air Station and Egland Air Base & there have been hundreds of sightings, over the years. My incident occured 2009. Thousands of us saw this & yet NOTHING WAS IN THE PAPER OR ON THE RADIO, the next day nor any day after this! Ed Walters, Gulf Breeze, wrote many books about his family's encounters & it's worth the read. That poor man was vilified & denigrated & finally FLED & went into hiding, poor guy😪 I have two more sightings down there & as has been more or less proven, these sightings seem to attach themselves to families & my whole family have seen these ships, for DECADES‼️

These lights are also associated with Bigfoot and other paranormal activity. Sounds silly but after years of looking into it I think the light orbs are completely real, which also leads me to believe the people claiming strange experiences especially when it accompanied by light orbs. I wonder what humans would do to other interplanetary intelligent life, if we had the technology to explore the cosmos further? I dare to presume , with our current mentality that humans would try to exploit and try to find selfish benefit from it. For one, right off the bat , I saw Gordan Copper talk about the negatives , he looked at them all right but not on a projector , they were being sent off to be studied and they were of a craft HE saw land and was filmed and photographed . He opened the film and unscrolled the negative to look at them of pictures taken before they were taken away by the government and stated the negatives showed what they had seen take place , that was of a space craft that landed where they were working on videoing a landing strip where Black Ops was taking place or something to that affect . There were photo's and video taken by he and his camera crew of this craft and possibly a piolet of some sort that had gotten out of the craft for a second . Me and my wife watch the stars now and then in 1992 when our daughter was three we noticed some bright lights in the night sky which formed a perfect triangle when suddenly the turned a 360 degree circle no one can tell us it was a aircraft helecoppter ECT this was. Real were not alone .
Every night I walk a few blocks and have my camera app on just in case , and I just look at the stars. One night I saw something , got scared and went home. Lol I truly believe there’s something that’s been visiting us since forever
That's not exactly what Gordon Cooper said. He didn't watch a film. He actually saw the craft land while filming planes taking off and landing. He gave the film to a courier and never heard of it again.
That was a smart move....give a very rare and precious film to a courier pshhh

Yes but they are NOT military. It so happens that my late grandfather was a high ranking USAF officer, he firmly believed in the reality of a UFO coverup (unfortunately he kept his stories, whatever they where, to himself he wouldn't say more) yet he was certain that his branch (the most concerned) wasn't in charge of the coverup. When pushed on that particular point the only thing he gave up was that the military would have used different methods to do a coverup, it didn't have their signature. That didn't mean they where not involved in it it means they where not the one pulling the strings, but that's my 2 cents not his !

It’s because there’s more than one species that come here. I saw a classic saucer in 1978, and it moved so fast, then it would instantly stop, make more 90 degree turns, then shot straight up so fast, if you blinked your eyes, you’d miss it.

I live in Arizona, My job was picking up auto-parts at the Airport in Nevada and deliver them across the state of Arizona. I was driving with my wife to the Airport to fly home to her mothers State. I said to her, I have been down this highway hundreds of times and i have never seen a beacon on that mountain top. We drove another hour then i said (We are close enough to that light and i still can't see the tower holding that light. We were so close to the light i could make out the diameter of it. we pulled over and parked along with 300 cars that stopped to watch the Huge It was approximately 50 feet in Diameter, as i was watching it a small Airplane it made one complete circle around it. Then the UFO very slowly started rotating in place it turned enough i could see a 8X8 window with a white man (HUMAN) standing in the middle of the window. He was watching the small plane. He was approximately 5feet tall wearing a light blue full body suit, he had a full head of blond hair. He was watching the small plane with two white men in it, one man had a reel to reel camera filming the UFO. Then the UFO slowly rotated as a blond hair man was making hand signals to the pilot. When it got in the take off position the man standing in the 8 foot window lowered his arm down Quickly. The man never sat down or held on to any bar. The craft shot like a bullet directly upwards out of sight on a cloudless day in about 1 second. The "G" force would have KILLED a human!
The blonde hair suggests that what you saw is what the UFOlogists call a Nordic.

He said it was a problem that has been troubling us for some time, he said there are incredible sightings by very credible people, he said the problem we have with studying them is that we don't know when they will appear, he said that they do not appear to pose a credible threat to the United States. This is the exact gist of what he said, and I find it extremely disturbing that you claim he said something completely different. The General Samson press release you purport to paraphrase is available right here on RUclips, and is part of the National Archives of the United States of America regarding this subject. Anybody can view it right now, and I suggest you all do so. Do not allow any supposed documentary to lie to you no matter what their purpose.

George van tassel sent a telegram to the capital building 5 days before the Washington DC fly overs! He had his own sighting and contact at Giant Rock. Many witnesses. The ET visitors informed van Tassel what they intended to do. He stated this in his lectures.

Gordon Cooper did NOT view that film footage w a projector. He merely looked at the reel, saw that is was good film; right before he had to hand it over to a military courier who took it on to D.C. Cooper never saw or heard anything of it again. The film was of jet fighter exercises when a disc craft descended, extended a tripod w balls landing gear, rested on dry lake bed, then shortly lifted, retracted gear, and took off. I believe the location was (then) Edwards AFB.

The dome on one type of flying saucers, the bottom part of the dome slopes/curves to meet the saucer body.
