Those dam stealth ships firing onion particle beams straight into my eyes.
LOL I listen to these while making dinner (I find cooking relaxing lol - with the headphones on I don't have to listen to the TV!) and this time the onions were a bit spicier...
Wow I never thought that cockroaches would be good for anything but that was a good teaching lesson for the expansion of humanity to expand it influence and insure its survival. I loved that idea.
I honestly expected them to run into the race that the insectoids had been fighting, right up until they said they'd been boarded by the insectoids.
Even in the Space Age, sometimes families fall apart despite our wishes. I feel for the Captain
Great story but I feel terrible for the captain.
1. He spends years defending his nation's territory so his wife and kids can be safe, even fighting off entire fleets trying to take territory, but she divorces him and takes his kids because his schedule isn't convenient.
2. She then plays with his emotions offering him a new relationship with her after she ended with him the first time, ironically after the divorce she was supportive of his career which shows she's just a pain and his career was never the problem, she just won't communicate.
3. He then has to watch nearly all of his crew die, including his best friend.
Great story but I hope a future chapter has the captain telling his former wife and in laws off for being so cold towards his own suffering, they had to deal with an him not being there for a few birthday parties, he had to watch his friends die on that exact same day and all he got was a divorce and more death. Truly sad.
Yeah that part just didn't make that much sense that she would marry military person and then get married or that he needs to change the entire society because he had a bad time with his wife
Sadly, this is a story that plays out for thousands of active duty soldiers every year in real life, and usually it's way uglier than this.
Been away and have binged on these brilliantly writen episodes. We humans can be selfish when we believe our needs surmount our loved ones but as the EXO Jim revealed, we can also be selfless, laying down our lives down, for others.
Damn that was so freaking good! I love the length too! Awesome! Can't wait for more! Are we getting any updates from the Shadows speak anytime soon?
I really like the length of the vid 😊👍
Thank you for the video! Perfect for a long drive
Saving this for Rush hour
Oh wow! Great chapter, i never saw that coming.
Evelyn is a real see you next Tuesday
I like the longer videos of this story and it has been great following it
Well done!
This one was more tragic than usual. Hope it doesn't halt humanity's attempts at expansion.
Love this video, can we get one for the Shadows and Knight series?
Still no word on it yet, author is still having a break, busy with life probably.
Great chapter. The captain, wanting to secede from the Republic received a brutal wake-up call. His thinking was so damn naive. The whole galaxy is at war and he thought he can find a nice little planet and settle down. Perhaps talking his ex wife+kids into joining the Down With The Republic Expedition. RIP Jim!
a little confused on one point though...one of the main points of the insectoids this entire time was that their null drives were not able to exit anywhere near as close to a planet as the republic ships, to the point of needing an entire day to travel closer before engaging... and yet here they flash in so close that they immediately start firing on the john cabot, and even do a lot of damage before it attempts to flash out... still to close themselves. was it because there was no sun, so the distances they could flash out was a lot closer? or did they all of a sudden have way, way better null drives?
I assume it’s because there was no star there. They had already been researching and gotten better drives from the last Hive Mother, so that plus no star is why I think they could do it
@@DarthMaskar that's what I was kind of assuming as well... but that doesn't explain why they were able to flash in closer then the explorer was able to flash out... unless being able to flash out requires being further away then how close you can flash in is normal in this universe? never been specified. but it is a little weird.
The divorce pert hit WAAAY to close to home but i enjoyed the video (except for that part)
Sorry about that, I just wanted to give people a glimpse into the struggles families face when spouses are in the military/law enforcement and other careers that take them away from their families for long periods of time.
I've seen it happen to so many people, and I wanted to show that humans are still the same, with the same struggles and problems even in a technologically advanced society.
You nailed it😂. No need to apologize and I 100% support your reasoning
Mulțumim!
oh great, a new episode of the black ship and also “they ansered the call” jeuuuu
Don't get too excited like half of it is a b******* story about a divorce that we don't need
@@chaschristiansen I had heard it, a very disappointing episode!
Keep it up man!!
Excellent
This reminded me of the influenza post 1918.
Doesn't sound like a 'pacifistic' colony would be very good insurance policy he initially wanted
I just hope Captain Navarre doesn't kill Aurora in part 46....
This is a little out of place but, did the writer finish up the Commonwealth narrative? Last I remember it was disintegrating, with the elder race dealing a heavy blow to one of the last major players in it. But not yet finished.
To sum up the story so far, (as best as I remember) its as follows:
Insects vs Commonwealth,
Insect vs Republic (humanity),
Commonwealth vs Republic,
Commonwealth civil war,
Insect civil war,
Trandoshan like aliens (yet to appear) vs everyone,
Republic and Rogue Insect Queen alliance.
Insect civil war coming to an end.
Obviously I really enjoy this story but am worried the writer might forget about some of their story arc's that are still open ended.
Upcoming chapter will closed out the Commonwealth civil war and explain what happens next to the Commonwealth species.
I better not go back to her! Smh🙄
Loses his family and finds blame on the government when he could have just resigned. Before he preached on changing the system, he should had just been brave enough and faced the unknowns of civilian life. Now he has such idealistic thoughts and dreams as what could be.... that's until they meet the Balricans or some other hostile race out there.
story clearly said they got attacked by insectoids. multiple times. they never said "unknown ships"
@@banaman7746 You clearly didn't understand what I wrote. I never said unknown ships and I sincerely do hope that you will learn what the "unknowns of civilians life" means. Which is definitely why you're reply is off tangent, thus not making sense at all.
@@eddiecharles6457 actually I just misread what you typed... somehow I thought you were saying that they got destroyed by the balricans... not that they would run into the balricans eventually. my bad.
just for clarification: the comment about the unknown ships was that if they had ran into the balricans, it likely would've been that they ran into unknown ships, not insectoid.
🚀🏴☠️🎸
To the author:
.... who hurt you?
Well I’m a put bets on a divorce probably parents 😂
Not nice;•
but maybe he proves me wrong
No one, this is based on the things I've seen happen to friends in the military/law enforcement and in other jobs that take people away from their families for weeks at a time.
I just wanted to highlight that technology might change, but people fundamentally don't and they face the same issues as we do such as lack of communication, resentment, and an unwillingness to face issues until it is too late.
@@Mud_Monkey Negative, just things I've seen others go through.
Revoke your man card for using a woman's insult.
Imagine breaking up your family because your spouse was away providing for the family more than you'd like.
