I love how she is not confident in her pick so she tries to hide in case its wrong.
Ayten Çelebi She is so cute... XD
Like when ur on a test and ur uncertain of an answer so u try to kind of make look like both
She knew it right off the bat, but she second guessed herself. I do that all the time.
Typical Female Behavior yeah
Hedging your bets. That's well beyond language.
that dog has got the looks and the brains!
🤨
There's dogs like this and mine barks at it's own farts.
i blame the owner lol
Haha yup. You probably do the same
Guys it’s a joke
When the owner is stupid, the dog is stupid too.
@@edenassos YOU SIR, ARE SO UNKIND!!!!!!!!!!!! What can YOUR unrefined dog DO?????????
When you can't train you dog to sit
XD
its said that its not the dog its the training method....
jessie james , r/WOOOOOOSH
Meep what joke did he miss you idiot
That's on you... not on the dog.
2:00 She's so nervous she might get it wrong XD
thats because her intelligency )
She’s so sweet 🥰
I thought the same thing -- she'd rather not choose as opposed to choosing the wrong one and disappointing her friend. So adorable.
You know why this dog is amazing?
Because her dad is retired and dedicated her A LOT OF TIME, dogs are full of potential.
They are just like kids, if you barely speak to a child they'll be really bad at expresing themselves and start talking at a bigger age. Talk to a kid pretty much all day everyday and they'll talk clearly in no time :)
That's wishful thinking. Trained (educated) or not, a person's IQ will remain nearly the same over the course of their entire life, unless their brain is damaged.
As for dogs, not all of them have this sort of aptitude. Like it or not, whether dog or human, there _is_ such a thing as a dumb.
@@pocket83squared but there’s also stimulation and exercises.
@@andreil1313 Sure. And those are great ways to train towards potential.
Personally, I exercise 3x per week, so that I can improve strength. Still, no matter how much I practice, I lack the genetic aptitude to ever be able to compete on the Rings at the Olympics.
You are absolutely right: it is a matter of presence, communication and intellectual stimulation.
She looked so scared when she didn't know which one to pick
I had a collie/sheepdog mix, and she understood a lot of words. It's amazing how smart dogs are when you take time to teach them
she has better memory than I do ◕╭╮◕
That dog could probably understand this video
I wish Chaser had lived long enough to use the button system to give voice to her thoughts. She was a remarkable girl.
Chaser is adorable! I've never met her in my life but she's now the love of my life.
How so? This is so American..
@@yargundev9772 Oh be quiet and let people use hyperbole without being a total nerd about it.
She is amazing, what a talent! I always knew that Border Collies are smart but she is absolutely brilliant! :)
I have BC's and they never cease to amaze or teach me new things all the time but one of the most incredible things I realised was how my even whilst asleep, my eldest collie recognised specific sounds and noises from what I was doing and reacted.
She always knew when I was about to go to bed and seconds beforehand, would run upstairs lying down at the top which is where she'll sleep. It didn't matter what time I went up, if others were still downstairs and it didn't follow a regular routine i.e. locking up and switching off lights so I couldn't work out what it was that told her it was time for bed until one July afternoon during a heatwave. She jumped off the sofa and hurtled upstairs lying at the top which struck me as really odd because these dogs don't make that kind of mistake and something had *definitely* told her I was going to bed. After a lot of experimenting and retracing my steps, I realised a habit I didn't even know I had which was running and drinking a glass of water the very last thing before I started upstairs. Even whilst asleep her brain registered the sounds of me running the tap, filling a glass, swilling and tipping out water then the “clunk” as I put it on the draining board. If I did each thing out of normal sequence, left too long between each or if anything wasn't in the exact same sequence as I would normally, she didn't flinch. When I did it normally, not taking time to try and catch her out, her sleeping brain still registered the sound and she was eyes open, wide awake and up the stairs in seconds.
The breed is absolutely remarkable but I think we've barely scratched the surface in terms of understanding exactly how remarkable they are 🙂
She even looks smart
Just saw this program on Tv - we had our Collie for 13 years and she had a HUGE vocabulary, she could read our bodylanguage and understood phrases and sentences - she also knew all her toy names - about 30 over the years. Her vocab was roughly more or less of a 2-3 year old - her reading your body language and exactly knowing what you plan to do was amazing. We missed her a lot - she passed away due to old age March 2023. We treated her like a child and she knew she was our 'child' - she was a rescue dog too. We got her when she was 3 months old - previous owners wanted to put her down!!
Through both his passion for learning and compassion for dogs Professor Pilley made a major contribution to our understanding and appreciation for "man's best friend". In doing so he not only made an important scientific contribution. He armed those who labor to defend the rights of these most special creatures with even more powerful proof they deserve our respect and protection. God bless Prof. Pilley and let us pray he resides in a heaven of both the people and animals he so loved.
Aww I love how happy she looks at the end in her huge pile of toys :D
well done professor!
I'm in love with this breed!!!
I knew a border collie once that absolutely astounded me. She was scary smart! I don't know how large her vocabulary was, but it was huge. I was convinced she just knew the English language. Her name was Maggie.
Never underestimate a dog's intelligence. The are amazing. This dog is so clever.
Chaser got bored with the stuffed toys and was waiting for more challenges like learning to play chess.
That is A LOT of soft toys for a dog! WOOF WOOF! haha 😂!
R.I.P. Chaser. All dogs go to heaven.
She's very intelligent.
i am sobbing SOBBING she's so smart omg
So many amazing things about this Video, including Chaser is 2nd guessing himself. Chaser quickly worked out which toy "Meow", was, but you could see Chaser constantly 2nd guessing himself. This is very evident when Chaser picks up "Meow", he headed towards John, than diverted sideways. John than enthusiasticly confirmed it was "Meow".
That was all Chaser needed, his confidence & enthusiasm skyrocketed & then he confidently strided straight to John, with "Meow", safely clenched in his teeth
* she. Chaser was a female.
cute. I know my Toby can learn this too. He's a 14 yr old border collie.
Best.dog.ever.
They forgot to mentioned that this breed of dog is the most intelligent in the dog world.
@WalkingKC chaser is a border collie dog.
@@rachelorasan7327 Nah he looks to be some kind of pitbull.
@@unknownerror8799 @WalkingKC Litearlly look in the description, they stated the dog's a Border Collie
@@raduneagu797 They could've easily lied.
@@unknownerror8799 well the dog clearly looks like a border collie anyway
This is such a wonderful discovery. It's just amazing.
What a beautiful face and mind she has!. 🐶
At 1:44 she’s like “dude are you sure?”
Dude this man is awesome
I think the dog is so clever!
What a good girl wow i love her
A *sponsored skater from the San Francisco bay area* and his puppies brought me here.
This is fake. The toys all have the names written on them. The dog isn't smart it's just reading the names.
Hmm
If dogs can read its super smart
That's the joke
The test is about associating shape of the toy with the sound of the name. It's not a test about its reading skills.
@@HeartistMurali 🤦♂️
Love the pup in the middle of a of her toys at the end! I always had heard that dogs know 150 words; this finding was quite amazing, but not surprising.
this dog is smarter than me feelsbadman.
You beat me too it..
L :^)
valenesco45 I was about to post the same, beat me to it...
there is no way I'm memorising 1022 words. I can't even remember 20 Arabic words! xDD
car accident
This dog has a longer attention span than many Americans.
What a team.A delight to see them together
What a Good! She's such a Good! I love her!!!
So smart, lovely dog, love to the dog
Why would anyone dislike this video!?
I wish my mother in law vocabulary was that big.
Who's a good girl?
thumbs up for Chaser!
simply amazing
awww love it
That's adorable.
This guy must be amazing at those arcade claw machine games.
I told my dog, “thank you fir being a sweet dog, we appreciate it.” She looked like she really understood and appreciated it.
Woah. This is amazing.
gOOD GIRL IM SO PROUD OF YOU, YOU'RE LIVING YOUR BEST LIFE
I absolutely loved this, Cheers for a terrific share :)
so clever
Wow!!! She knows more words in English than I know in German... even after so much studying. I feel ashamed now.
Ahh i hate when reporters end with a corny comment. Awesome dog tho!
I like corny comments, I think it's sweet, corny comments makes me feel slightly embarrassed and I think it's playful and flirty when a girl tries to make me feel slightly embarrassed, but I also agree that it can be quite awkward if someone say a corny joke without knowing the joke is corny, but that's not the case here, in this video the comment is too corny to be considered a regular joke for any human on earth. so I liked it.
José A.R. Avelino why was a paragraph necessary for that
it wasn't but I find as much pleasure in my prolixity as you find in criticizing, if you think about it you will realize that everything about this conversation is completely unnecessary and yet here we are. dont you just love internet ?
I endearingly hate it. Makes me go awww towards the dog, not really the reporter.
@@josea.r.avelino181 I learnt a new word today.
Amazing!
Her toys are amazing!
Smart doggy.
This is a flawed test, they shouldn't had labeled the toys, he could identify those thing just by reading!
Dogs don't think english
actually this dog is smarter. dogs are just amazing. i am sure there are more challenging things for him to do
My students must watch this!
Japp bordercollies best dog in the world
Aww, I read his book about Chaser years ago :) It's nice to see Chaser again
Good book!
Wow! That's amaging! Learning through elimination! wow!
This dog should be president
what a smart pupper
Ah, that name brings good memories.
I'm impressed 👏🏻
Good puppo!
marvellous
wow... the dog is amazing!
I would say most dogs of medium size or larger and some extra intelligence in some breeds can do a similar thing to this lovely dog it just takes a few things to unlock the ability, A person with the love and energy and patience on how to train and the last three are important would be bond, knowledge and time! I have a English Springer Spaniel known to be very attentive and a very high intelligence, We have been inseparable since I picked him out, I have given him so much of my time I speak to him all the time and he understands nearly everything of what I'm saying, When i talk to another human about him he will listen and if I mention that ill be taking him for a trim or vets or if I'm talking about his favourite spots to go on a walk He will beg me to take him out or not to if its the vets, To me he's a little human in a dogs body, He knows when it his delivery of food from the courier by the box he carries he knows the brand name and names of all the treats a mountain of toys also have names and he will pick them out if you ask, the list is endless of the examples of how intelligent he is, The love I get back from him is amazing and he loves to show it, I see some other people with their dogs or on how they keep a dog is not a pleasant they treat them as a lesser animal and stuff like some dogs are left live in the garden and is not allowed in the house and stuff and they have a rather boring life of waiting for hours upon hours just for a few minutes of attention a day or so maybe a walk if they are lucky and they live around their own shit most of the time, it truly saddens me, if only they knew what their dog was actually capable of they would treat them differently, I'm not calling them animal abusers but it's sorta close to it because they don't give the best life for the dog, We should treat them like our own children, I think I ranted a little too much but I had to unload since it's been bothering me
Forever lost opportunity on "go get it right meow!"
That's amazing !
There is no way I will be able to learn the names of 1000 toys if I couldnt read.
Chaser's brain is more developed than that of a human.
I wonder what it will do to the "meow" toy when a cat "meow" to it.
hahaha probably a carnage
Thank god cats don't actually have lips to say the words "Meow" then.
Very cool. This only validates my understanding of canine awareness
Fabuloso!!!!
good dog
can dogs can make my mindblowing math homework?
The goodest girl.
this dog is smarter than a 2-year-old baby
Was telling my children how smart dogs are but they didn't believe me. Now they understand =)
what a beautiful dog ! Whats the name of it type ?
Border Collie.
This dog is smarter than me, I can't remember 1000 words

No big deal, I probably know 1000 words too. Maybe even more
Of course, she's a Border Collie!
