Amazing talk guys! I love these long form discussions of fish disease & treatment.
I'd love to see a follow up one day with even more evidence of the benefits of melaflix.

Think you can update your text description here in video with the correct dosage? I dipped my fish at the .76ml per gallon as mentioned on this video multiple times, only to find that the thread has corrected it to 10x. (7.6ml per gallon).
"Tea Tree Oil (best option for fish showing red sores)
Bath: For One gallon of Saltwater add 7.6 ml (20ppm) (Updated 6/7/2023) of the Standard Melafix (DO NOT GET THE MARINE) for 8 minutes (We must get to the 5-minute mark to call the bath successful). Really get that air going in the water as well as this does indeed deplete the water of oxygen."

Won’t the formalin 0.9-1 ml dose in qt kill nitrifying bacteria?

It probably kills some (like copper does), but not enough to completely uncycle your QT.

It does pretty much wipe out the good guys along with the bad. You can do water changes if things are off or things get a bit too dirty for your liking. Simply do your water changes right before you dose the formalin. Dont forget to add your copper to the change out water so your copper lvls don't drop if your treating along side formalin.
