Bands like Devastation, Death, Primus, Carcass, Anthrax,, Obituary, Biohazard and Life Of Agony to name a few were doing it before 1991 and Suffocation. Bottom line is Suffocation and Internal Bleeding didn’t invent dance music.
This band is the reason why I love death metal so much, these guys are amazing live, no one can put a show like these guys do. Frank Mullen taught me how to do that thing with my hand and whenever I hear a blast beat I do that.

It’s an indescribable feeling when being pummeled with this kind of power live. The “slam” riff on this song made every atom in the venue jump. I will never forget Terrence busting out a solo and you could hear the collective awe in the crowd in front of him when he finished. Truly magical…

At 3:06 is the single most deadly riff in the history of death metal. Simple, yes. But it is the blueprint for all breakdown riffs to follow IMO. The first time I heard this song, it absolutely blew my fucking mind.
