What a sensational kido this kid got a touch and he is different from all iranian player who ever played for iranian national team this kid is a real deal to beat a Chinese player u have to be able to play at the same level as them and with the very high confidence and that was exactly what he did i know it was just one game win and i dont want to exagggerate but i believe this kid is the one who top 10 players in the world should watch for him in the future
I said in my comment it was just one match win against one of the best in the world and I don't want to exagggerate him But he can beat any big name at any given day and u should know that there are so many top level Chinese and Japanese players out there specially Chinese but as I said before this kid has a huge potential to be one of the best
Alexis similarly beat FZD is shocking fashion. This was even weirder than that. Timely nets, an unsolvable BH, and the China smash might have all been factors.
Not counting tournament prestige, this is one of the biggest upsets in recent history. World #1 losing against a no-name 14 year old ??? Harimoto was already a sensation back then before beating Ma Long, but this is a whole different story.
#1 U15 but never appeared in any significant Adult single events yet, only WTT Youth Contender ones. Only one Doubles WTT Feeder event. To the common table tennis fan, aren't WTT Feeder players considered no-name ? Harimoto was Junior World Champion and Indian Open finalist before beating Ma Long / ZJK, so he was pretty famous already.
I’ve never seen anything like this upset in table tennis. This kid is truly amazing! His BH is phenomenal and his footwork, touch, and ability to counter loop is truly remarkable!
@@robin0910 Ok so don't you realise what you said doesn't make sense? he won the team event with China last time so there is no improvement. He has to make it further in the singles to be able to say that
@@weasel9815 yes, But to be honest with you, when I was watching the match I felt his opponent is making too many mistakes. The win was a combination of the kid's good work and his opponent's giving away points.

Unbelievable upset!!!😱🏓 This Iranian kid has got some serious talent! Only 14 years old! He's already better than the Alamyans, if he gains experience, he could be a top 10 soon!
Same for me. Ma long would have won the smash with an 8-4 lead. I think its no coincidence, that he lost that final. This is not how the dragon should be treated
Hello! well! and after watching this and saw Wang losing and after watching Ma Long played at China SMASH recently, we can see Ma Long is GOAT and Ma Long legacy will be there for 30 or 50 more years until the young generation don't know who Ma Long is after 50 more years long. Not Fan Zhendong or Wang Chuqin to be remembered....Fan and Wang are going down so quickly and soon will become the history without anyone remember them, but people will remember Ma Long the GOAT forever. At this age he beat everyone and leaded Lin Shidong 8-4 in final game. If it was world champion match, Lin Shidong will be done because ML will play carefully each point and also has motivation to win.
It seems unbelievable. But I found news January-2024: "Faraji leads the ranking in the Boys’ Single U15 with 3220 points." And I see WCQ could not reform his play for weak shots that he usually has from opponent.
You gotta feel for WCQ... first the defeat against Anders Lind, now this 14 yrs old kid... tough pill to swallow... BUT as Adam Bobrow said: although this is a big upset, this is GOOD for the game overall - it gives us some excitement, it's a reminder to the chinese team and other european players coming up that they can be beaten! So all in all: I'm looking forward to see if he comes back stronger from this (he will I'm sure). Still one of my favorite players to watch on court! 💪
I can't help but wonder how the china coaches will react : three consecutive defeats against "unknown stranger" underdogs... Wang Chuqin is in danger whatever his value.
I wonder if the commentator is expected to have a bias for WCQ? Would have been great if he could just do his role better and acknowledge the great saves, counters and what a fantastic game 14 year old Karaji is playing. Adam Bobrow would have done so much better.
Benyamin played great but he did not outplay WCQ in any set. WCQ beat himself so bad in this match. It shows how much the mental side of this game matters.
