China has always potrayed itself as the victim but is it true? Yeah in some cases it is so but it's enmity towards India is only aggravated due to weak strategic policy of Nehru. China never withdrew from doklam China's goal was to built the road through doklam and they did that. However, after China ignored modi. Modi went to Putin and requested to intervene. Some Indians are living in state of denial. China understands economic pain Ji.
China has never regarded India as an adversery.
Not just in Doklam but in a few other places along the border, we hold the advantage and can hand the Chinese a humiliating loss. To a government that exists on maintaining "face" for China, that would have serious repercussions at home. In an all out war, China with its present strength may "beat" India but it will receive enough damage in return to set it back decades even with our current obsolete equipment. The communist party simply cannot afford that as it will instantly lose "face" and therefore authority which would probably lead to a civil war. The internal situation is very critical with financial catastrophe looming large for the average Chinese. It is literally a house of cards.
One important lesson...city boys and factory boys don't make good soldiers !! That is China....India has the advantage of being less advanced then China, more experienced and battle hardened thanks to Pakistan, Kashmir and Naxals etc....only mistake they can make is to be caught unawares...which is what happened in 1962...Hindi Chini bhai bhai.....you cannot be buddies with crocodiles...unless they are vegetarian ??

China was aware of India's total military hardware but not aware of how degraded and incapable India's Military hardware was. China’s defence budget is $220 Billion compared to India’s $60 billion. India needs to close the GDP and defence budget gap in 10 years to at least 3:1 or ideally 2:1 or it endangers losing to a joint Chinese Pakistan coordinated attack. The Chinese want uninterrupted entry to Gwader sea port to use it for military purpose to block the British, French and US and also Indian war ships et al. So Pakistan occupied Kashmir unrest is also part of that . Also Baluchistan freedom struggle is another head ache both for Pakistan and China in particular.
