I own the subcase brand, 2 months later it broke around the crown cutout. Got a hold of subcase and notified them about what had happened, and they replaced it. Two months later, once again, broke in the same exact spot. Now I have spigen brand….so far so good.
@@dionelfigueroa7865 I´m buying the Spigen right now. Do you still have a screen protection or just the case? i am going to use it for tough jobs and will probably be needing that screen protection.
I've done hospital security and now law enforcement for total of 2 years and used SUPCASE. Just got a new one 2 months ago... Literally put it through the ringer and it lasted that long. Every day, working out, wrestling, police academy, fighting etc
supcase looks nice on pictures, it's rugged looks gives you that g-shock vibes. but when you wear it, i just can't help notice the oversized frame surrounding the watch. spigen however, makes your smartwatch look like an actual watch.
Only thing I dislike about supcase is that dirt gets trapped between the case and watch and scratches the watch. Every time I take my watch out I’m always shocked by the amount of deep scratches on my watch and I keep it in their about 95% of the time
Bought the spigen case originally and liked it however had two straps break back to back , eventually bout the sup case and other than being a bit bigger the watch band is way more comfortable and feels better on the wrist. Buy the sup case watch band don’t waste your time with the spigen.
Got the SUPCASE first it lasted 1 months broke around the crown area smacked up on a stainless steel prep table at work. Got the Spigen case next the strap broke after 6 months couldn’t handle the harsh dishwasher chemicals at work. Next I bought a rhino band. Same concept as the other two it lasted one year The band also broke on this one also made out of rubber, and it also was subject to harsh dishwashing chemicals. Now rhino band is still out of stock. I have an Apple Watch Series 3.
Really solid review man I subbed. I’m going for the subCase Kinda hoping the pink or rose colored one matches my new 12 pro max that is in that kinda color.
i got both for more than 2 months. and yes the spigen one is much more a GO-TO case for everyday use.. I have it in gray with black buckle.. looks very nice on my red apple watch where I only can see the red-black digital crown For SUPCASE UNICORN BEETLE PRO, I got it in black/red accents to match my red apple watch but it looks a bit too bulky and gives a cheap look to the watch… My 2 cents.. if you are going for Spigen case, do get it in GRAY color.. it looks much better than the all-black one… and with those black buckles (silver on the black one); that carbon fiber looks even better….
I have one of both also, the Supcase for a Galaxy watch active 2 and the Spigen for a Fitbit sense. And the styling is basically the same just different shapes for the circle Galaxy watch. However the Spigen one for Fitbit does have more carbon fiber look for it than the one for your apple and it also doesn't say Spigen on the side it just has their logo, but still says rugged armor and shock resist just real small. And I like both. One bad thing about the Supcase for the Galaxy watch it that it is in fact so tight that if u try to add a screen protector to the watch the tightness pushes it up sort of, idk if a tempered o e would do that or not but it might not even fit. I had one of the thick self healing vinyl like screen protectors on the Galaxy I e with the Supcase. I had the Galaxy active 2 with the Supcase first before the Fitbit, and when I got the Fitbit sense with the Spigen I went with the Spigen because its actually a thinner case but still protective, which is what I wanted with that watch because the Fitbit screen is more of a square Wich makes it more wide then a lot of other square shaped watches and the Supcase is more bulky amd just seemed like too much bulk. I didn't mind the bulk with a less wide watch like the Galaxy active which is why I went with the Supcase cuz I do like the heavy bulk look. But with the Fitbit it just seemed like too much which is why I went with Spigen for that one. But in my overall opinion they both seem amd look nice amd work good for me so I like them both evenly.
I actually have tried and they both seem to work okay with the film style screen protectors. I did try one tempered glass before but it was one of those full versions so it worked but not how I would like.
Thanks for the review. I work Constrction. I need to fully protect it. Will glass screen protector’s work with the spiegan case ? Wife just bought me the watch. Haven’t even taken it out of the box yet because i don’t want to mess it up. Thanks
I believe it will. Just depends on the glass screen protector that you're going with. Some kind of fold/bend over the screen and I have seen that to interfere with cases. If it only covers the screen only, should be completely fine!
@Britta Weickert got the speigan one but ordered what I thought was tempered glass but it was film so I returned and haven’t received glass screen protectors to test out
@@patrickab01 would you mind leaving an update here when you try that glass screen protector? I’m thinking of getting this case, but I definitely want to have a protector for the glass.
I am really interested does this case will fit with Spigen Proflex EZ Fit glass. I am using this glass and rugged Armor for iPhone, and they fit Perfectly
My Spigen Rugged Armor in my second band going on my 3rd to be honest its great look and feels great but the case cant last. It breaks easy to be honest I`m looking for alternative when it comes to the tactical bands
Thanks for the comparison video!! Just what i needed. Looking to order the Spigen just because its looks more like an apple watch than a gshock while it still provides some protection. Thanks for posting!
Some do but a lot of the more mainstream cases don't. Usually you put on a tempered glass screen protector and then give it the extra protection from the added case.
Thanks for comparison video!! Had both of them in my Amazon cart trying to decide after dropping my Series 5 flat on its face and shattering it. (Good thing I have AppleCare+)
This video was created 2 years ago and even with inflation, in my locality (factoring in currency exchange to local market) they cost the same price as of the date of this comment as they did back then . Kudos for the vid
How can any case be called rugged without a screen protector? Does everyone wearing these cases work in offices or something, one day on site with my catalyst case and I got a scratch on my screen so I never wear my watch as my life involves using tools, lifting rocks, climbing rocks etc. do I really have to spend over 1k for an ultra watch? Surely there is an actual rugged case that protects the whole watch not just the sides.
@@RoyFlorez Yeah its weird, and just found out in time on my own watch, one corner is a bit rugged now. Googled it right now, and found more people having the same issues :/
I always use the spigen case, but the version without the built in strap.. and use the apple watch nike straps with it. Best of both worlds.
Nice suggestion!
