I love the Hatred/Madness specs on Sins and Sorcs, but primarily use Deception/Lightning on dailies and most times outside of Operations because I feel Hatred etc is just slow and boring, yes it's top tier for damage, but for survivability and quicker put downs I have to pretty much run Deception etc to get through stuff quicker and actually survive, but I love your guides and inputs on the classes regardless :D
Try it with the Quick Escalation tactical and set Eradicate to be used in 1 sec with double Death Field - both of which reset on any enemy's death. In connection with Stealth/Phantom Stride forced crits for 6 secs (from the Shadow craft implant) the single burst gets close to Deception's and the mass destruction is far better imho. =D
Love to see my main spec being given some attention. You got most of it right, but I would change a few things. Firstly I'd take Death Focus instead of Deadly Field, this works really nicely in sync with Maliciousness to reduce that Recklessness cooldown even further. It's not a huge amount of difference in terms of dps, but it is more. It's higher dps single target for PVE and is better also in PVP as the cooldown is reduced even further for every target hit. So say you're on a door in Voidstar doing some sweet cleave, you will essentially have a Recklessness available for every Death Field. Generally speaking also you want your Death Marks to be spent on Creeping Terror and Discharge, less so on Eradicate, but this is often hard to control. For PVP of course since you're on the go a lot, applying dots back to back is often what you do, but in PVE it's good practice to keep the dots separated by 3 GCDs to keep the rotation smooth, and with Discharge first for the earlier Eradicate proc. Love the content man.
deadly field parses higher than death focus by quite a bit, so its definitly not better in single target. i personally have noticed a increase from 26k to 29k dps since switching to deadly field. But what you said about eradicate is definetly true, deathmarks are better for the other dots

I would begin with eradicate, then do death field and dots. That way maliciousness resets your CD on eradicate meaning you can can cast it again immediately after its DoT finishes. Death focus isn't necessary for 100% uptime on maliciousness. But, it helps keep it up if you have to stop dps momentarily for whatever reason, though. Ultimately I get the best single target damage out of pervasive death. Switching away from deadly field doesn't take away your 2nd stack of death field, so you can enter combat with 2 stacks and pervasive death/death focus which is a slight dps increase. In aoe situations, you can alternate the target of your eradicate so multiple targets benefit from befall at the same time.
the recklessness implant isn't very useful as people think it is at least in PVE except for raids cause the cooldown gets reset once you're out of combat and for the boss fights they usually don't last more then a min let alone trash mobs if your team knows what they are doing so I would go with the one that increases your crit hit chance by 5% when your health is below 50%
At first I was very sceptical with 7.0. Minimizing every specs toolkit in a way and "dumping them down" seemed bad to me, so I quit. Watching your guides it seems to be more good than bad. Looks like 7.0 gave Hatred and Rage purpose again and there are less Conc. OPs running around. Very refreshing. May actually come back during the year :)
i like this approach its probably the best in terms of sustained dots,, but i choose a different way,, im running the quick escalation tactical and spamming autocrit leeching strikes after the dot applications. literally devastating
Now that Two Time Trouble is pretty much pointless after nerfs "100% chance for Assassinate, 60% chance to trigger for NON BASIC melee attacks" (saber strike no longer triggers it) and I dont see any other melee attacks in the rotation that will trigger it and outside of Operations Assassinate is mainly only used once and it's usually a kill anyway. So what is the alternative now? The general offense tactical (stacking damage)?
It's currently bugged so stealthing out mid combat and using phantom stride won't give you shadowcraft (the crit buff) so it's a 1 time use thing. I'm still using it on my deception though.

Hatred is the absolute go-to for daily areas/heroics solo play for melee force users atm. I spec a bit different for that purpose and for FP/Ops like you discribe here. Hatred is the Swiss army nuke-knife for solo players with a boat load of usefull ability. Assassin is the first class to level up for new players for that reason imho. It's a maybe tad easier to level through Deception for single target burst - but daily earning runs at engame level are so much faster with Hatred than everything else ... I feel the major nerf coming on shortly , because Bioware.
negative, with much research, going to have to revert using pervasive death instead of deadly field on the lvl 23 skill tree. Meaning you can't spam death fields. Instead you have juggle between using thrash and saber strike.
It's definitely better now in PvP, and with the right player it can pull massive numbers, but I would say it isn't the greatest for bursting down, unlike it's cousin Madness. For unranked warzones it's pretty good, not so much in ranked.
Its not Ideal spec for PvP. If you're absolutely are stuck on playing an Assassin and want to PvP, Deception would yield better results. However, its hard to justify even then with Concealment doing everything Deception does but better right now. Hatred got some help in 7.1 and now tops the boards, might be worth trying in PvP now.

My problem with SWTOR is that I have a difficult time tracking my dots/ debuffs on the target in PVP. There is so many icons and they move around. Any tips to help with this?
If you go into your interface editor and click on the target's bar, there should be an option to like "highlight my buffs" or something similar (I forget what it's called) that will turn your buffs gold and keep them pinned to the front of the debuff tray.

What about using the other tactical that increases your crit chances by 100% if phantom stride is used from stealth?

Shadow guide coming soon! You can grab those drums from the PvP vendor on fleet, the vendor in spawn in war zones and by opening PvP boxes.

No, zeal perk doesn't apply for high end content, so that's 7.2% without it. (~2100 alacrity)
um doesn't deathfield spread your dots or is it just balance/madness that happens
in hatred you spread dots with lacerate, not deathfield
