this is my favorite beatles part to play, i always thought it was Paul til now! I love the fact that George messes up a few notes from improvising in the verses but then completely nails the bridge with the all the weird key changes
@@hamueramusic Yes it does. The strings are ‘loose’ and flobby and played aggresively with a pick. Very different from a Fender Jazz. I’m an owner of both such instruments, by the way.
@@Nerkin610 i honestly this isn't too bad of a take. Honestly, I love it! I like how it sounds (it has a bit of a fuzz sound, but still sounding boomy in the actual released version). Plus, George is a pretty good bass player, melodic, and phrasing it with some pauses for some room, it's pretty good! I can totally see Paul at least, helping with writing the bassline too.
Superb!! George did a fab job on this one!
Can't believe how this actually works so well in the song. Sounds like George is feeling his way through it.

the bass part for this song is played by George Harrison
Geroge only plays in Super Deluxe Version
@@eduuuardo18 what are you on about? It’s the same bass part on both versions
Nice, I like it even more now
i don't believe it.

such a cool bass sounds
Harrison on a Fender VI.
not a fender VI photo evidence from this time show him holding and playing a fender Jazz bass
@@hamueramusic That’s from the Golden Slumbers sessions in July 1969.
@@HARALDEMANN does it sound like a fender VI? no
anyway i'd rather not argue
make love not war

@@hamueramusicthe sound is just too... small? It doesnt have the tone of a fullscale bass. Def fits a guitar scale.
this is a fender bass VI by harrison bass line
Yes. It has a raspier, less boomy sound.
@@mallorga1965 also I think the first note could only be found on a six stringed bass (out of all basses)
@@scuffedcovers Yes. Listening to it again I've just discovered a chord at 0:40, something that's easier to do on a Bass VI than on a Jazz Bass.
Yo tengo entendido que esta línea de bajo la grabó George!!!!
Да
That bass harmonic though!!
George played bass on this track
False

@@eduuuardo18The Super Deluxe version is the same take 😂
This is played by George.. why the picture of Paul?
George played this song.
Is it just me or does this bass track sound tentative in parts?
Nice
george on bass
Hay algo desafinado ahí?
El bajo no lo toca Paul es George que por cierto lo tocó excelente
A bit as if he was drunk playing that instrument, but nonethelles it still suits the song well 🤷
George is playing bass, not Paul. Paul is on piano.
Paul is a master bass player.
Its george
John
That sounds awful tbh..
Bruh…
lol it’s George. It definitely doesn’t have the McCartney grace
No denying it works in the song though.
Amazing that it's such a dominant part of the recording, and works so well. Love the song!
